Christmas Time

Morning peeps.  Why is it that I struggle to raise my head of the pillow during the week for work but at the weekend, when I have a chance for a lie in, that I am wide awake really early...typical..lol..

I have had to make a start on Christmas cards as our two big sales coming up at the end of October so not long at all.  The reindeer is an embossed image from Sizzix and then I have tried to colour him itch a metallic gold pen.  The papers are from a paperback from Docrafts.  The white poinsettia and heathers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the velvet black ribbon is from stash decorated with a diecut buckle.  The stamped circle sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and the oval diecut is from Docrafts. The Sun has Got His Hat On .....

Hip, Hip, Hip, Hooray!!!  ...... It feels such a long time since we have seen the old mucka...lol.... so the washing machine is on double time trying to get it out on the line to dry before he disappears again behind some big black clouds.  Even Barry has hurried out to try and tackle the wildness (aka the front garden) - I've tied a bit of string to his waist just in case he cannot find his way back out ...lol.... Oh, I am cheeky!

This goose stamp from Penny Black I've had for ages and I still think it is one of my favourites of theirs.  The circle sentiment stamp is from Lili of The Valley.  The piece of ribbon is recycled off a set of pyjamas it was wrapped around.  The backing paper is from my scrap drawer.  The challenges covered this morning are:-

Wedding Card

Good afternoon peeps, hope you are all having a lovely weekend in Blogland.  The middle of June and I have had to pop the heating on - where is summer!?!  - it is wet and windy here in Central Scotland.  Such a shame too as alot of the local towns and villages close by are having their Gala days today and tomorrow.

The Brionni Trust have a stall at the Scribbler's Picnic in Stirling tomorrow and I am seriously thinking about popping out this afternoon and getting myself a pair of wellies! - come rain of shine it is always a fun day there and local reports are that Gamu (from the X Factor) is singing on the main stage.

I've have chance for a wee play at my time and made this wedding card.  The diecut bride & groom have been in my stash from year dot mounted on rectangle Nesties embossed by my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.   Flowers, silver heart & pearl buckle are from Wild Orchid Crafts, swirls diecuts are by Marianne Creations and leaves are punches.  Sentiment, silver ribbon & pearls are all from stash.  The challenges covered are:-

Rock Star

Hello peeps.  The weekend again and I am home alone - whoop whoop!!!  All my jobs are (nearly) done around the house so I thought I deserved a wee play at the table this afternoon - hehe!   Onyx, the stroppy teenager of a cat, is determined to get covered in glue and glitter today as she keeps walking all over the table trying to help - NOT!!!  Tried to get her off by threatening her with a brush (which she hates) but instead she just turned round, hissed and then proceeded to lay down right in the middle of my stuff on the table - foiled by a cat!!!

Now that I am at the moment blogging, she is now wanting on my knee but because the laptop is there she has jumped up on the the back of the seat and is currently pulling my hair!!! - told you she was stroppy!

The image is Luca from Sugar Nellie.  The design paper is a tiny piece out of scrap drawer.  Star sequins, musical brads and sentiment are from stash.  The challenges covered are:-

60th Birthday

Good afternoon folks!!!  Just like to say first of all my deepest thoughts and wishes are going out to everyone caught up in that dreadful earthquake/tsunami across in Japan.  I cannot image what they are going though when watching the horrific pictures on the telly.  Puts the snow we had into perspective doesn't it!

This evening I am heading out to a 40th birthday party,  this is first of many four-zero's coming up this year (mine included).  I hear on the grapevine that "40" is the "30" - is this true???  If so, help!!!  I am struggling to find anything to wear in my wardrobe for tonight as a few pounds have sneaked on over the months and nothing fits!  Arrrrgh!  Do you think I could get away with wearing my finest pj's (along with a bit of bling of course...lol).

Anyway,  I had a few cards to make today and here is one of them.  I used this gorgeous Elizabeth Bell image from Sugar Nellie and the green/white checked paper is from a Forever Friends paperpack.  Flowers, pearl and number peel offs are from stash.  Also used on this card was my Swirl embossing folder and leaf punch. I "blinged" the flower and leaves up with some clear stickles.  The challenges covered are:-
I suppose I'd better start trying to make myself look presentable for tonight - could be a long, painful process!  lol. xx

Love You!

Here I am again, back with a second.  You would never have guessed that there is football on the telly so that is why I am getting some peace & quiet this afternoon ....lol.  Might be pushing my luck trying to squeeze a third in after this though, as teatime is looming.

The cute image is from Penny Black, the papers were a freebie in a magazine. Flowers, brad and sentiment are from stash.  Leaves cut from punch.  The challenges covered are:-

One Idea - Two Cards

Good evening to my lovely followers.  Sorry I have not been on for a couple of days.  Full of good intentions, but never managed to get to the dining room table to play!!!  I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  I was playing nurse maid to Barry who had "Man-Flu", and I discovered yet again, I have not got the right patience for being a nurse ....lol .... I will have to teach myself tolerance ... how do I do that??? .. lol.

So to help compensate my lack of TLC, I let Barry take me shopping (yes, he was well enough to do that!!!)......and gasp!! ...... I know, I must have been feeling really REALLY guilty for me to go to the shops ... and what did we come back back with ......... a new bed!! ......... if Baza had his way, it would have been one of those fancy electric adjustable ones with the flip-up TV screen in the footrest... lol.

My one idea over the weekend was to make to use one of my many Sizzix dies that of late have been left abandoned in a box under the stairs since I have fallen in love with rubber stamping and try and create something with them and here are the results.....

Along with the Sizzix House die, I have used 2 Cuttlebug embossing folders (Swiss Dots and another).  Design paper from scrap pile.  Ribbon, brad and charm from stash.  Circle stamped sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.  The challenges covered on this card are:-

This card has been made similar - but different (if that makes any sense!!!) I was trying to make it look more masculine by not using any DP's and using straight lines instead of any curves.  The ribbon and sentiments are from stash.  The challenges covered on this card are:-

The papers are from a DCVW paperpack cut using my square Nesties.  sentiment is from stash.  I 'blinged' the image up with a bit of Silver Stickles.  The challenges covered are:-

Away in a Manger

Hello peeps and dare I ask how everyone is doing in this cold weather.  This is the first time that I have had to keep my heating on overnight that it has been so cold.  I just can't keep a heat in myself, tried the hot drinks and soups - might have to call on stronger measures - wine.... lol..... it always gives me rosy cheeks...lol.

The Nativity image is a gorgeous stamp from Penny Black.  Papers are from Papermania.  Flowers and card candy things are from stash.  Used leafy/twig punch and embossing folder.  Sentiment is printed off computer.  The challenged covered are:-
