Under The Weather

Morning peeps!   Yay! It's the weekend....time to play.  The housework is nearly all done... or being ignored...lol... and I am home alone as Barry is having to work.   I made this card last night while dinner was being made - you can take from that comment that I don't cook which is partly true, I hate cooking, the petted lip comes out if I have to do anything in the kitchen...lol

When making cards for stock, I was tend to make quite CAS ones as unsure if people will be posting them.  The stamped image is one of the first ones at bought from Sugar Nellie and coloured her with my pencils.  The papers and card are just out the scrap drawer and sentiment printed from computer.  The challenges covered are:-

Gorjuss Naming Day

Evening peeps.  Hope you had a good Easter and some of you lucky folks are enjoying a few days holiday.  I had good intentions of having a nice weekend of sunshine and crafting but instead ended up in bed for 3 days with suspected food poisoning - never want to see mushroom pakora ever again!!!

The new release of the latest Gorjuss Girls gave the mojo to rake out one of my favourite Gorjuss stamps bought from Funkykits.  Polka dot paper is from scrap drawer and gems and sentiment are from stash.  I added some glitter stickles to the wings for a bit of sparkle.  Tools used are Swiss dots embossing folder and oval Nesties.  The challenges covered are:-

Run rabbit, run rabbit, run run run

Evening peeps, apologises for not being on recently, my neck and shoulders are playing up again so it is hard to get in the mood to create.  I had made this card at the weekend for my Auntie, she had kindly knitted and donated some bunny rabbits and a scarecrow to The Brionni Trust for us to sell on our stall.  The cute wee bunnies she had done gave me the inspiration for this card, so I dug out my Sugar Nellies stamps and hunted for this image.  The backing paper is a freebie from a magazine.  The picket fence is a diecut from Marieanne Creatables (there is a different story .... lol..). Tools used are my oval scalloped Nesties and Swiss dots embossing folder.  The challenges covered are:-

Daisy, Daisy ......

Morning troops, nipping on for a quick post before I head out later this morning.  I am off to the football with Barry, his beloved team Dundee is playing locally at Alloa so we are heading to the pub and then the footie and probably back to the pub ...lol..   Can't have a sore head for tomorrow though as we have a craft stall for the Brionni Trust in the afternoon.

I have used good old Daisy for this card, I think she is my all time favourite stamp.  Did a wee bit of faux stitching around her.  Papers are from my scrap drawer, ribbon, brad and flower are from stash.  Tools uses are my Nesties and Martha Stewart Border punch.  The challenges covered are:-

Pretty in Pink

Afternoon peeps.  Having a lazy day today, enjoying the sunshine and the golf.  Had a sharp awaking this morning, Woody, our youngest cat, brought into the house at around 6am, a mouse, he then preceded to drop it down in the middle of the living room floor, watch it scurry away in the corner, then turn rounded and toddled off back outside leaving Barry and I hunting for this mouse - which we still haven't found!

While keeping one eye on the telly watching the golf and the the eye looking out for the mouse, I have managed to make this easel card using a fabby Gorjuss Girl from Sugar Nellie.  The sentiment I have discovered is from Docrafts which I have ink chalked round the edge. The majority of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Tools used are my Martha Stewart border punch, rectangle Nesties and my Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The challenges entered today are:-

Sk8ter Boy

Evening peep-a-rellies, hope all is well.  What another glorious day it has been today, it's a lovely change having summer clothes on instead of living in jumpers and woolly socks!  ..... Lol...

I was having a little experiment with chalks by trying to distress the skull and cross bones diecuts.  The stamped image is from Sugar Nellie.  The charm and leather twine are from stash.  Tools used are a couple of embossing folders.  The challenges covered are:-
Have a lovely evening...

I'm a winner, a CAS Girlie Card

Evening peeps, well, I've had a great start to the week as I was chosen as the winner at High Hopes Tuesday challenge, and an added bonus is that that I have been invited to join them as a guest designer for their challenge on the 5th February. So excited as I have never been a guest designer before. (Stomach has butterflies already).

On Thursday Geoff (our car) passed his MOT, he only needed two new tyres - phew! Tonight we are having visitors round for dinner and finally tomorrow night I am off out to my friends pyjama party, so fun and games all round...lol..

This lovely CAS card was made with one of my favourite gorjuss girls stamps from Funkykits. The backing paper is from a Forever Friends paperback. Tools used were my Swiss Dots embossing folder, oval Nesties. The challenges covered are:-

Celebration Time

Morning peeps.  How lovely has this weather been?  It feels so weird that just a week or so ago  we were in the minus degrees and now we are in the twentys - Scottish weather!! ..lol.  It has put me in the holiday mode for jetting off to Corfu tomorrow morning.

We, the charity, had a fantastic night last night at our Race Night with over £1000 raised.  I on the other hand was not so fortunate I had seemed to pick all the donkeys and they are still running .... lol..

This is a commissioned card for one of the girls at work for her daughter who has her First Communion today. The beautiful image is from Sugar Nellie, isn't she just adorable.  The diecut bible I bought from ebay.    Gems, peel offs and sentiment was stash.  The tools used was Nesties and an embossing folder.  The challenges covered today are:-
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and see you all when I get back.

Step to it!

Morning all, Sunday already, it seems to come round quicker and quicker every week.  Got quite a few crafty jobs to  finish off today so I should really get cracking and then hopefully I should a little play of my own. Trying to cram everything in this weekend as next week we are off on holiday to sunny (hopefully) Corfu, a beautiful island.

This is another commissioned card I was to do,  for a Rangers supporting couple - hence the red, white and blue theme.  The stamp, First Dance, is from Sugar Nellie.  The heart backing paper is from Papermania. .  The  silver heart buckle is from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Other tools used are Swiss Dots embossing folder and Nesties.  The challenges covered are:-

Sassy Girl

Good evening peeps, how are we all? Well I hope.  The weekend starts early for me .... as I am on holiday tomorrow and Friday from work.  All excited, as tomorrow I am heading into Glasgow for the craft fair at the SECC ... my list is written with a few blank lines for some extra treats I might see!!! ...don't think I'll sleep tonight ... sad. I know - but it is only twice a year that I actually enjoy going shopping ...hehehe ... plus a wee bit lunch thrown in!  You never know I might even show off my goodies here tomorrow when I get back.

On this Clean & Simple card I have used the image, Sassy (I think she is called) from the Elizabeth Bell range from Sugar Nellie.  Diecut Nesties, lightly ink chalked round the edges.  Marieanne Creations diecut swirly things.  Flower from a bargain pack from Wild Orchid Crafts which I added a gem from stash.  Sentiment is a peel-off.  The challenges covered are:-

You're A Star........

.....a  Mon-star....lol .........Good morning peeps,  just practicing my jokes for Halloween.  In Scotland our version of "Trick or Treat" is called "Guising" where we go house to house and we do a poem, joke or song for your reward.  I remember my exploits of guising dressed up - usually a witch - and was very happy if I came away with a hand full of monkey nuts or a satsuma, nowadays they seem to just want money, especially the older ones - I sorted them out one year though, gave them out of date crisps that where in the cupboard - shock, horror - they have not chapped on the door since ...lol .... it that cruel???

The image is from Sugar Nellie coloured with Whisper pens, all the coloured card from scrap drawer embossed in different folders and web ribbon from stash.  Circle sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.  My feeble attempt of a spider's web was drawn with a silver metallic pen.  The challenges covered are:-

We're heading for a heatwave.....

or so the weather forecasters are telling us ......... but I have my doubts.  My neighbours must have thought I was nuts this morning the back of eight as I am hanging out washing in the Scottish drizzle, but I was thinking I was the smart cookie as Carol, the BBC weather girl told me it was going to bright & sunny by 10am and I smugly drove to work daydreaming that on my return I would have lovely dry clothes smelling on the sweet Autumn air!  - Alas, I have returned home to a sodden line of clothes, wetter than what they went out!!!!  Indian Summer, my eye! ....lol..

Anyway,  how ya all doing in Blogland, hope all is well.  Not had much chance to play this end, with the nights drawing in I will have to start making a real effort to go to my table in the evenings instead of sneaking off to my cozy bed. However I have managed to do this card over the weekend.

The image is an adorable older one from Sugar Nellie, "Picking Apples" I think she is called.  The backing papers were a freebie out a magazine I treated myself to at the weekend.  Paper flowers, sentiment and card candi's are from stash.  The challenges covered are:-

Yee haw!!!

Howdy partners!  Hope you are all enjoying the weekend.  So far I'm having a nice, quiet Saturday, hopefully followed by a relaxing Sunday.  I have quite a few commissioned cards to do this weekend so my brain is a bit frazzled coming up with ideas but I am getting there slowly ...lol ... but I still have managed to squeeze in a wee time to play.....

The image is from Sugar Nellie, coloured with my watercolour pencils (from Tescos).  Stripey paper is a piece out my scrap drawer.  Flowers I have made using Woodware daisy punches decorated with various brads from stash.  The challenges covered this evening are:-

60th Birthday

Good afternoon folks!!!  Just like to say first of all my deepest thoughts and wishes are going out to everyone caught up in that dreadful earthquake/tsunami across in Japan.  I cannot image what they are going though when watching the horrific pictures on the telly.  Puts the snow we had into perspective doesn't it!

This evening I am heading out to a 40th birthday party,  this is first of many four-zero's coming up this year (mine included).  I hear on the grapevine that "40" is the "30" - is this true???  If so, help!!!  I am struggling to find anything to wear in my wardrobe for tonight as a few pounds have sneaked on over the months and nothing fits!  Arrrrgh!  Do you think I could get away with wearing my finest pj's (along with a bit of bling of course...lol).

Anyway,  I had a few cards to make today and here is one of them.  I used this gorgeous Elizabeth Bell image from Sugar Nellie and the green/white checked paper is from a Forever Friends paperpack.  Flowers, pearl and number peel offs are from stash.  Also used on this card was my Swirl embossing folder and leaf punch. I "blinged" the flower and leaves up with some clear stickles.  The challenges covered are:-
I suppose I'd better start trying to make myself look presentable for tonight - could be a long, painful process!  lol. xx

Baby Girl Card

Good sunny afternoon to you all.  It is starting to feel a bit more like Spring this weekend - Hooray!!!  Next door neighbour's garden is starting to flower.  Her garden always puts me to shame - green fingers I had not got (unless covering with green glitter or paint!! ....hehehe).   I am home alone today with Baza away to the footie so a wee chance to play!!!.

This is one of Sugar Nellies Homegrown range of stamps.  Design papers are from scrap box, flowers and pearls are from stash, sentiment printed off computer.  The challenges covered are:-
