SophistiCats & Simon Says......

Morning my lovely friends, just creeping on with a little card I made last night before I head off to work (Boo hiss).  This is for the challenges at SophistiCats - "Love" and across at Simon Says.... - a photo inspiration challenge.

The Rose backing paper is from DCVW (surprise, surprise lol).  The stamp, I think, is an Anita's stamp, which I put 3D glaze on it.  Also went a bit OTT with my black inking around the edges (red wine effect lol) and popped on some silver card candys on the corner.

See you lovies later on when I get back.

Totally Papercrafts

Evening peeps, hope all of you are having a fabby weekend, I am working the full weekend but off on Monday so not much crafting and blogging getting done I am afraid.  I have however squeezed this little one in for a new challenge blog Totally Papercrafts.  I am joining in on their 2nd challenge which is a recipe - 3 embellishments, 2 papers & 1 image.

I have used one of my favourite stamps, Dressing-up Maggie from Sugar Nellie.  Papers are a mixture of Papermania and DCVW and my three embellies are diecut buttons spruced up with some funky fibres.

Hoping to do a bit more crafting through the week as I have quite a few birthday cards to make for my own family.  Love to you all.

This is a card that I have been asked to make for tomorrow so tonight I had to get my butt in gear.  I used the fabulous sketch over at Anyone for Anya? and across at One Stop Craft Challenge it is "Make It Personal".

The Pink Elephant - Polka dots, a Bow & Pink!

Hello you lovely peeps, hope all is well and you all had a enjoyable weekend.  Was working throughout the weekend so now enjoying my day off.  Some of the housework jobs ticked off my to do list (not all ..lol) so now I can play!!!

It is a recipe challenge over at The Pink Elephant - Polka dots, a Bow & Pink!, just  handy for me this week as the youngest member of my family, my niece, is gonna be 1 on Friday.  I haven't used this Maggie image from Sugar Nellie for ages and ages.  Backing paper is from DCVW Spring Stack and sentiment is printed up off my computer.

I have quite a few male birthdays coming up in the next couple of weeks so I will have to get my finger out with them 'coz I struggle with male cards so much.

Froggies, Hedgies & Hearts!!!

Hello everyone in Blogland, hope all is well.  My peace and quiet was shattered last night as Barry's football match was cancelled, plus Lesley & Ellie came for their dinner - but tonight however - I'm Free!!!   I am doing to do a bit of blogging and hopping tonight to catch up with all you lovely peeps!

Starting off with this card for Penny Black's Saturday Challenge - Colour Combo "Blue, White & Gold", I combined the sketch from Get Sketchy.  Again I cheated by using a Penny Black Stickeroo.  Light blue & white card stock from pile and ribbon & sentiment are from stash.

You can probably tell  I am in a minimalistic phase at the moment, brain is not coping with "Fiddly" at the moment so got to keep it simple ("suits you" I can hear you mutter....lol).

Yes!, I know, cheating again with a Stickeroo!!!  This lovely card brighten up my day when I made it for Sophisticat's "Spring" challenge.  I could just visualise myself skipping through the fresh meadows with the birds singing!!! .....lol.

And finally this above card is for both Creative Card Crew & Simon Says who asked to "Punch It".  So out came the old faithful Sizllit's hearts and Nestibilitie's squares!!!  This type of card is so handy for using up any scraps of card you have laying around.  Used some wee Card Candy's (my fellow blogger friend, Marianne, told me what the technical name was for them - thanks xxx)

Get Sketchy

Hello peeps, hope all is well in Blogland.  Just got one card in post this evening - 'coz I am a silly-billy - don't know if the rest of you do this.  I jot down the wonderful challenges and sketches that are set to test us on a piece of paper, I go away and play at the table, stand back at look in awe at the miracle I have created with my fair hand (lol)  then realise that the cut off time has pasted - DOH! .....Told you I am a silly-billy!!!! lol

Anyway I am getting this one in on time for Get Sketchy.  I have used one of the Gorjuss Girls from Sugar Nellie (she should have a chicken with her but its now in the oven ...lol) The blue papers are from Papermania.  Turquiose card is from scraps drawer and embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder, distressed it to the max with chalk ink.

Away now to sort my pieces of paper in some sort of order....lol.

Sketch Saturday & Charisma Cardz

Evening peeps. hope all is well and trying to beat this big freeze.  Never left the house today but I could tell it was cold outside.  Feeling really sorry for the garden birds just now, popped some bread out this morning, but the water outside was frozen solid and couldn't ever break through it with a hammer!

A lovely delivery man came this afternoon with a spare part for our living room fire - yippee!!!  It has not been working since last year but we managed to get someone to look at it and now this evening we have heat!  I am sitting here with wee rosy cheeks (or is that the wine - lol)

I have done a couple of cards today in between doing some various jobs about the house.  This card is for Sketch Saturday and Charisma Cardz - "Pink, Brown, Cream & Toffee".  I used one of the lovely Miss Anya's from The Greeting Farm and papers are from my scrap drawer.  Flowers were made my using my X-cut daisy punches and popping a sequin in the middle.

Gosh, It is Cold!!!

Evening folks and how cold is it!!!  I had to scrap the ice from the inside of my car this morning and coming home from work this evening it was -7 brrrrrrrrrr!!!!  I am sitting just now on the laptop with my PJ's on, house coat, quilt and hot water bottle and I am still cold (might have to have a wee glass of wine to warm my bones up ...lol).

The challenge at Allsorts Challenge Blog was a sketch and to use something Old/New, well I have had this baby stamp for a wee while now and never used it so this was perfect time to use it.  Also I have incorporated Cupcake Craft Challenge - "Baby Card" and Secret Crafter - "New Beginnings".

The stamp is from High Hopes and backing paper is from DCVW.  I used a Cuttlebug Embossing folder in the squares and used some of these round thingy's.
