Dear Darling ....

A glorious sunny afternoon to you all.  The sun is high and bright here and long may it stay.  Hope you are all having a beautiful weekend.  Just sneaking on while the German Grand Prix qualifying is on and then it's an afternoon in the garden for me.

This gorgeous image is from Sugar Nellie. The diecut sentiment is from an A4 sheet but I'm afraid I don't know who from.  Flowers and pearly thingys are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Ribbon and pearls are from stash.  Tools used were my Nesties, Martha Stewart daisy border punch and Divine Swirls embossing folder.  The challenges covered are:-

Seashells, seashells on the sea shore ....

Morning Peeps - the sun is trying to peep out from behind the clouds this morning, but still very breezy here,  a braw washing day - as they say ...lol.  I have officially passed my cold onto to Barry, so the pair of us are sniffling away - should really put a big X on the door - unclean! ...lol.

This seashell stamp is part of a clear set that I have in my stash but have no idea to whom/where it is from.  I inked it using my chalk inks to give it a soft tone feel.  Blue gems are from stash and the strip of patterned paper from scrap drawer.  The challenges covered are:-

Celebration Time

Morning peeps.  How lovely has this weather been?  It feels so weird that just a week or so ago  we were in the minus degrees and now we are in the twentys - Scottish weather!! ..lol.  It has put me in the holiday mode for jetting off to Corfu tomorrow morning.

We, the charity, had a fantastic night last night at our Race Night with over £1000 raised.  I on the other hand was not so fortunate I had seemed to pick all the donkeys and they are still running .... lol..

This is a commissioned card for one of the girls at work for her daughter who has her First Communion today. The beautiful image is from Sugar Nellie, isn't she just adorable.  The diecut bible I bought from ebay.    Gems, peel offs and sentiment was stash.  The tools used was Nesties and an embossing folder.  The challenges covered today are:-
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and see you all when I get back.

Clean & Simple Stock Cards

Back again, this time with a sample from a batch of cards I had done for stock from The Brionni Trust as we have a stall coming up at The Scribblers Picnic, Stirling on the 17th June and panic has started to set in.  I have used the same layout on all of them with different images and colours on each.

Ideal for this has been Stickeroos from Penny Black.  I also used for quickness (is that such a word?) has been sticky ribbon.  Please don't scrutinise my faux stitching too closely as there are one or two dodgy bits! ....lol.. To help jazz-up the plain card I have used my Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The challenges covered are:-

Boys & their Toys

I have a house full of gadgets thanks to Baz.  It is definitely a man thing, I'm sure we have more gadgets and gizmos than Curry's and Comet clubbed together ...lol.. ...  I haven't a clue what most of them are for but apparently they are "must haves".  I just stay clear of them as tend to brake anything electrical or technical ...lol...  I'll just stick with my crafty stuff...lol.

This pre-coloured diecut image from Lili of the Valley goes brilliantly with the sentiment I found and printed off the internet.  The scrap of designer paper is from DCVW.  Also used was an embossing folder from Cuttlebug, Martha Stewart Zig-zag border punch and a couple of brads from craft stash.  The challenges covered are:-

Laptop all better now ....

Evening peeps, sorry not been on and visiting everyone but I had a poorly laptop, the power supply broke, but now with a new cable delivered (and much cheaper than my local  PC World has wanting) I am back in business - whoop whoop!!!

Now, I got my Book-o-trix board quite a few years ago now after alot but after one very feeble attempt it kinda got placed, or may have been thrown, to the back of the craft cupboard and forgotten about until this weekend.  After a lot of rummaging, box moving and a few expletives I managed to find it - on the window sill - blew the cobwebs off it and deceided to set myself my own challenge to actually use it!

The bottle and wine glass are clear stamps from Woodware coloured with some felt-tip pens (I'm afraid I don't own promakers or copics). Ribbon and peel offs are from stash.  Other tools used were Oval Nesties and Swiss dots embossing folder.  The challenges covered this evening are:-

Fore!

Evening peeps, on the eve of the British Open I thought I'd share this golfing card with you all.  Usually at the weekend I am a golf widow, but I sense that this weekend that old Baza here will be glued to the couch until about 5pm on Sunday evening .... lol .... I don't mind, it will give me some peace and quite ... hehehe.

The decoupaged image is one I must have picked up at a craft fair.  The diecuts are from stash and the sentiment is printed from computer.  The challenges covered this evening are:-

Get your motor rolling.........

Good morning, good morning, good morning.  Hope you are all well.  I am sneaking on before Barry gets back from the golf with a wee sneak peek of his birthday card.  It is not until the 11th October but I know what I am like and I would have forgotten so I made it when it was fresh in my mind.  I have no idea what to get him for a pressie though as he has everything - Gadget City our house is... hehehe.

Since old Baza loves the Formula One car racing I thought I would be nice and made him a wee themed card using some decoupage I had for just an occasion... lol.  The papers are from DCVW.  The challenges covered on this card are:-
This afternoon I am off to my friends house who is having a Macmillan Coffee Morning in memory of her father so hopefully I shall be back on later on this evening.

Cupcake Challenge - Keep it Simple

Morning peeps, a beautiful morning here is Central Scotland, the sun is shining in a clear sky and woke to a crisp frost.  The next door neighbour's snow drops are starting to flower - puts me to shame as her garden always looks wonderful where as mine - mmm, less said the better.lol.

The challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenge is to "keep it simple".  I have used a Forever Friend element, paper is from Daisy & Dandelion range, stars are from stash as is sentiment.

Hoping to get a few more made today while doing a few housework jobs around the house.

Gosh, It is Cold!!!

Evening folks and how cold is it!!!  I had to scrap the ice from the inside of my car this morning and coming home from work this evening it was -7 brrrrrrrrrr!!!!  I am sitting just now on the laptop with my PJ's on, house coat, quilt and hot water bottle and I am still cold (might have to have a wee glass of wine to warm my bones up ...lol).

The challenge at Allsorts Challenge Blog was a sketch and to use something Old/New, well I have had this baby stamp for a wee while now and never used it so this was perfect time to use it.  Also I have incorporated Cupcake Craft Challenge - "Baby Card" and Secret Crafter - "New Beginnings".

The stamp is from High Hopes and backing paper is from DCVW.  I used a Cuttlebug Embossing folder in the squares and used some of these round thingy's.

Santa Claus is coming..............

Whenever I hear that tune from the advert I know that it is not that far away.  I am still struggling to get through my cards, wholey holey, they are never ending.  I love this sunbathing Santa from High Hopes, he is so cool.  Papers are from Papermania.

I used the wonderful sketch over at High Hopes and "Xmas" was the theme at Stamp with Fun.  The challenge over at Cupcake crafts was "Green & Red".

Watching Strictly Come Dancing tonight with a couple of glasses of wine, I'm cheering on Team Cola to get through to the final.

Away in a manger.........

Evening everyone. How you all doing?  I can't beleive not been on for a while but here I am with a couple of challenges.  I have to be honest and say I have not been up to much, usually when the clocks go back one hour I kinda hiberate......lol.

I love this Penny Black stamp and I have been waiting on an excuse to use it so when the challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge was "Song Title" I gave a little yelp of delight.  I also combined the challenges of Cupcake Crafts "Snow much fun" and Spoon Full of Sugar's "Create a scene".

I finish up on Friday for a week's holiday so hopefully I will have a week of playing.

Hello...............

Morning everyone.  No, I have not fallen through the centre of the earth or been abducted by Aliens but I feel I have been missing something - and it is YOU LOT!!!!!!!........lol........ hopefully I will have a bit more time to play.

This is one of the commissioned cards I have to make a christening coming up (again all funds go to the Brionni Trust).  I have used a Gorjuss Girl image from Sugar Nellie, Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder, paper is from stash as is ribbons & flowers.  I am just waiting to find out what wording they are wanting on the front which I am going to pop on the lower left hand side.  I combined the following challenges into the card:-

I am off out this afternoon to prepare a buffet for the band gig we are having for the Trust tonight.  My culinary skills are not the greatest so I think I will be placed on the cheese butties!.....lol.....and the washing up!.
