The Weekend is here...........

Yippee - the weekend is here and I am planning a very serious craft-a-thon starting this evening and finishing on Sunday evening.  The supermarket journey was done on my way home from work so I should not have to venture out again!!!  I feel really guilty I haven't been on lately but fear not, with the football season back on I should be crafting again as normal now at my table.

I have used "Porridge" from the homegrown Sugar Nellie range and the DP paper is from DCVW.  My leaves are made by using my MS punch and the flowers, gems and brads are from stash.  The challenges I am entering this card in are:-
My batteries are charged and patiently waiting (foot tapping) for Baza to finish his dinner so I can get to my table to play!!!!!!!!

Afternoon everyone & a warm welcome to my new followers.  All peeps who has entered the blog candy so far are in the draw for the 15th February.  I have been having a lazy week in the crafting world and only done the odd card.

For this card, I have flipped the sketch across at Friday Sketchers and incorporated the challenge over at Colour Create - Kraft, Blue & White (with texture).  I cheated a bit by using some Penny Black Stickeroo's.  Blue star paper is from Papermania and rest of stuff from stash.

I am hopefully going to be posting a few cards throughout the day at I am home alone all day and all evening - yippee!!!!!  Barry is going to watch the football this evening - Dundee v Livingston.

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year everyone!!!!  Sorry it is a couple of days late - a fine excuse would be that I have just sobered-up from the celebrations be alas that is not the case - it is Internet hiccups....lol.

I am so glad to be back to normal.  Took all the decorations down this morning, gosh, the house looks so bare now, and you could see the dust!  Still trying to find places for the pressies that Santa was so kind to leave for me, at the moment they are in a neat pile in the bedroom but the chocolate pile has taken a whack (Bazabing has a very sweet tooth .... lol).

I cannot believe fellow bloggers that I made my blog 1 year ago, met so many lovely peeps and been given so much inspiration from others.  To celebrate and to say a massive thank you to all you gorgeous people I am putting together a wee blog candy so watch this space shorty.

Back to work tomorrow (was only off for a few days) so I have been playing at my table yesterday and today and managed to make a card or two.  I feel a bit rusty and out of practice.

I don't know about the rest of you but I am so glad to not to having to make a Christmas card for at least another month or so.  I usually try and start on my family birthday cards for the rest of the year but as any other New Year's resolution - it never lasts.........lol.  I loved the challenge over at Colour Create this week is "Lemon & Lime" with spring flowers.  I dug out my Miss Anya stamp and put her to work, handy as over at Anyone for Anya it is "Anything Goes" and I used the fabby sketch at The Pink Elephant

That's it for another year.....

Good morning everyone and I hope that everyone has survived the day.  Santa spoiled me once again and I had a lovely day.  We did some visiting then went to the local Indian Restaurant for dinner, I was stuffed and brought a doggy bag home and then did some more visiting in the evening. Hoping that today is just a chill-out PJ day.  Looking forward to hearing about everyone else's day.

I am starting to get crafting withdrawal symptoms as not been at my table for a few days now.  Here are a couple of cards I did at the start of the week.  This first one is using the lovely Demure stamp from Sugar Nellie.  I have entered her into the challenges over at Charisma Cardz - "Anything but Christmas" and Colour Create Challenge - Pink, Burgundy & Ivory with Roses.

This cheeky character is Wee from Whiff of Joy and  he is just delightful and I have used him for Stamp Something - "Christmas".

Paperplay Challenge & Creative Card Crew

Hello this chilly evening.  Just another card made off the list.  The challenge over at Paperplay Challenge is the theme "Movies or Books"  and I am doing "Twins" .  If I wanted to be really twisted I could do the "Star Wars Saga" with Luke & Princess Leah being twins (Oops - hope everyone has seen it & I haven't given the game away...lol).  I also have entered it into the Creative Card Crew's - "Anything Goes" challenge.

The two little darlings are Magnolia's and the ducks are cut out of funky foam using my Sizzix paddle punch.

The challenges I have used for this card are:-

The Image is from a Penny Black clear stamp range with added silver Stickles.  The embossing folders used from Snowflake & Holly.  The snowflake is a Cuttlebug diecut with a snowflake brad through the middle.

Colour Create #13

Afternoon again folks, I am so enjoying my day playing today. Watched the London Marathon, had to clean my specs at least half a dozen times listening to people's reasons, boy, makes you realise how lucky you are and how brave they are. Now I am onto watching a recording of the Formual 1 Grand Prix, had to wait on Baza getting in from the golf and him making the brunch.
I have had a go at the Colour Create Challenge, the colour combo this week was Orange, Green & Brown with the optional challenge of making it for a male. It was set this week by the lovely Jo, Boots the Monkey, check out her blog, her work is amazing.
On this card I have used the Clare Curd's stamps from Papermania and the backing paper from DCWV.
Thanks for peeking.

I'm on Holiday - 3 Cards

Yhay!!!!! I'm on holiday for a week. Not going away but have planned a few days here & there and also scheduled in some serious craft time....lol. Hope everyone has had a lovely Sunday and are stuffed after their dinner. I am still in my PJ's (Sunday is the day of rest...lol) and still to have my tea. It will be something from the freezer that goes Ping! after 5mins...lol. I had hoped for a day to myself and tried to pam Barry off to the golf this morning but his shoulder is still sore... huff... is there no consideration to others...lol. I mean, he has only been out of action for the last 6 months. lol. Oh well, so I sat at my table today while the football (& now the golf) was on the telly and made these 3 cards.
The first one is for the Stamp Something Saturday Challenge - something with cold winter wind, well after debating whether or not to post a photo of old Baza there after one of my homemade curries I decided upon little Tilda fighting against the winter chill on Hogmany going first footing - cheers to you Tilda!.
I read on someone's blog (forgive me as I can't remember who's) that they had set themselves a target to make at least one Crimbo card a week and I think that it is a jolly good idea so I am gonna follow suit - so thank you however you were. xxx It will certainly save a little of the mad frenzy in October/November...lol.
Card No.2 is for my lovable, adorable nephew CJ (got to say that...lol) who is the coolest kid on the block (been paid to say that...lol). His birthday is not until the end of the month but the challenge over at Colour Create - Blue & Brown was such a great combo I just couldn't refuse.
I used an Edwin stamp (sorry don't know name) and DCWV papers & saying. My oval nestibilities came in very handy again. I honestly don't know what I used to do before them.
My 3rd, and final card for this evening I have made for one of my friend's little girl, Eden, who will be 1 in April and I have used the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Transport for this one.
I really liked the image after it was coloured in, the girl with her bogie. My brothers made one one time, used bits of their bikes, didn't go down well with my dad...lol. Theirs wasn't a patch on this girl's or even Oor Willie's come to think of it!. lol.... those were the days....lol
Well that is it for me this evning, I am going to retire now with the rest of the bottle of wine I have started and do some blog-hopping.........xxxx
