It's A Dogs Life!

Yep! It's raining again, surprise surprise ...lol...  I have a feeling that one or two campers at 'T in the Park' will be collecting their tents from out the trees as it was quite a breezy one last night!!!  I don't envy them one bit, much prefer my cozy bed these days than roughing it under a bit of canvas and the thought of those Port-a-loos makes me shudder!!!

To brighten the mood from the typical Scottish weather I have tried to use bright cards on this card,  The image was a freebie from a craft magazine coloured with my paints.  The backing papers are from DCVW.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The cirular sentiment is from LOTV.  Sticky rik-rak ribbon from stash.  The challenges covered this morning are:-

Hello ......

...... Can't believe I have been missing in action from Blogland for a wee while. Have been a bit busy with charity stuff, wedding invites, commissioned cards and trying to get the card stock pile up for the next stall date in a few months.  Hoping for a day of play this afternoon (fingers-crossed) as I should really be packing my case for my holidays next week - off to the sun - woohoo!!!!

This one of the commissioned cards I have been doing but managed to sneak a few challenges into it, hehe.  The remit for this one is a Goth Ballet dancer,  this was the closet I could find in my box of stash.  It is a stamped image I have had for ages (think I received it in an image swap so I'm afraid I don't know the maker).  The backing papers are from DCVW, stick-on clear gems from stash,  tools used are Musical notes Sizzixlits diecuts and a Nesties Swirl diecut.  The challenges covered are:-

Hello again

I have been playing and managed to make this card so far.  I am blogging just now before I forget and before the daylight disappears to take photo.  For a change I decided to do a A5 card instead of a square card as not done one for ages - too comfy doing square me thinks, hehehe - and I must admit I was struggling with this one, alot of flower shuffling around the paper was done!.

The image is an Elizabeth Bell one from Sugar Nellie, coloured with my watercolour pencils.  Backing paper is from a DCVW Spring Stack.  Flowers are from a stash, as is the fabric butterfly.  Sentiment is from a DCVW quote sticker stack.  Tools used on the card were my Nestie Swirly template thingies.  The challenges covered are:-

Party On!!!

Good afternoon to you lovely peeps.  Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.  So far, I am having a rather chilly and foggy one, it hasn't lifted here since Thursday, hopefully we might see some sunshine tomorrow and the temperature will rise above the -5 it has been!! brrrrrrrrrrr....

I have been looking forward to this evening for a while,  I am heading out shortly to stay overnight with a girl friend of mine, there are other friends staying over too that we have not met up together for a good few years with them moving away and then back nearby again.  I can sense quite alot of story telling, photo sharing, laughter, tears, singing and a few bottles of wine being disposed off ....  carnage!!!  I don't think there is enough beds to go round so I have packed my sleeping bag and then I have no concerns for when I am tired  ( lol ...... new name to myself - "Martini" - anytime, anyplace, anywhere...lol).

Anyway,  I have had a few hours this afternoon to play at my table and managed to make one card, yes, I am getting slower rather than quicker...lol.  The cheek of it too is that I have used a Stickeroo from Penny Black so no colouring was needed..... Oh, I becoming so lazy these days...lol. .... put it down to the weather.. hehehe.  The paper I am sure is from a DCVW paperpack.  Balloons are made from funky foam cut out with Sizzix paddle punches.  The challenges covered today are:-

Chilly Tuesday

Good morning to you all and I hope you are all keeping warm this chilly morning (-14 here).  Well, not at work again due to the condition of the roads.  They are shocking, my poor Barry was one of the many hundreds of travellers caught-up in the massive gridlock on the Central Scotland roads.  He was struck from 11am in the morning and never moved for over 8 hours, eventually the queue moved enough for him to take a slip road off the motorway and by luck he knew the back roads and made a very slow and slippery journey and got home the back of midnight very tired and hungry!!!.  There was alot of people, elderly and families had to spend the night in their vehicles in that cold weather - it must have been horrific!!!

So it is another day in the house with the heating on full blast to keep the chill away.  There is nothing else for it but to have a wee play at the table.  The image is Miss Anya from The Greeting Farm.  The design paper is from DCVW.  Diecut snowflakes from Sizzix and sentiment printed off computer.  The challenges I have covered are:-

Creative Card Crew

Morning everyone.  Had a fantastic time at the Craft Fair over the weekend and will pop on a couple of photos of my goodies.  Was at a Christening yesterday and this is the card I made for Eilidh and since the challenge over at Creative Card Crew is "Children & Babies" it is quite apt.

The bear image is from Sugar Nellie Homegrown range, the teddies and balloon are diecuts and the backing papers are from DCVW Spring Stack.

Winter Wonderland, Allsorts & Stamptacular Sunday

Evening everyone and a special welcome to a couple of new followers - Hello!!!!. Not been up to much so far this week, found it quite hard to sit at my table 'coz of a sore back, brought the computer chair down from the spare room but that didn't help and then Baza brought home a chair that one of this work fellows was throwing out but unfortunately it hasn't helped either. Might have it ask Baza for a back massage.........lol.........rather have a fish supper!!!.....lol.
Back to the challenges, managed again to do a 2 in 1 card. Winter Wonderland is "Let it Snow" and Allsorts is Triangles.

Painted Milly with Snowman and added a little sparkle with some silver Stickles. Backing papers are from Papermania and finished off with a giant snowflake.
Since it is Fathers Day coming up on Sunday and I will be away to see Gary and the boys (hasn't quite sure if I had mentioned Take That - Hamden - Sunday......lol) I thought I better make a card for Baza from the cats Onyx & Jazz. Luckily for me Stamptacular Sunday's challenge is "Fathers Day" .

I cheated a little bit by using a stickeroo from Penny Black as it had the No.1 rosette. Backing paper from the DCWV Cat Scrap booking Kit as is the 2 cat stickers I used for the inside as they similar to my 2 fur balls I have at home.

Magnolia Down Under & ABC

I am still in shock 'coz it is still sunny!!!!.....lol.......washing is dry - Yay!. Got the doors & windows open breathing in the fresh air - it's a good job I don't suffer from hay fever.
This is the first time, I think, that I have managed to incorporate 2 challenges into 1 card. Magnolia Down Under - "All About A Boy" and ABC Challenge is "R for Roses".

Love this Edwin holding the roses, he is delightful, coloured with my paints. Backing papers are from DCWV, shapes cut out with oval Nesties and brads & ribbon from stash.
Gosh, all the this crafting builds up an appetite, I'm popping away to make a quick sarnie, mmmm........ chicken tikka sounds good.

Charisma Cardz & Allsorts

Evening peeps, thought I'd pop these 2 challenges on just now before I have my tea this evening. Over at Charisma Cardz it is a Colour Combo Challenge - Pink & Brown.
I have used a image from stash and papers are from the DCWV Spring Stack. Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. Oval & Label Nesties. Sentiment was hand written by myself. Brads, gem & ribbon were from stash.
I came across the Allsorts Challenge a wee while ago when I was blog-hopping on Dido's Designs (aka Hazel) one day. It is a fairly new site and this week it was also a Colour Combo Challenge - Pink & White. Which was ideal for me with these baby cards to make.
I got this pram stamp in the bargain dumpbins at my local Paper Mill Shop - 99p. Used my Swiss Dots embossing folder and the old faithful Nesties. My stash of peeloffs have been coming in really handy at the moment with my printer not working still.
Tummy is rumbling so way to see what I can rustle up in the kitchen (looks like it is scrambled eggs on toast......lol........as cooking is not my strongest asset).

The lovely bear image is from Sugar Nellie's Homegrown range. Papers are from DCWV Spring Stack. I have tried to do the Shabby-Chic part my ripping the paper and put image & sentiment at a jonty angle...lol.
