Stamptacular Sunday & Charity News

Good morning everyone, sorry I have been a bad blogger lately.  Been a bit busy with some work for the charity which I shall tell you all about.  The housework is done, the wee jobs out the way so the rest of the day is my own and I am planning to play.  You lucky lot might be experiencing the warm sunshine but I have a cloudy, but dry, sky here so it is a good enough excuse not to go anywhere.....lol.

Anyway, I thought I better post a card while I am gabbing on, It is a little quick card which suits the challenge over at Stamptacular Sunday - "A Penguin Celebration", unfortunately I didn't have a penguin so instead I used the black & white theme. The flower stamp is a Penny Black and the papers are from my never ending scrap pile.  My printer is broken again, so I am back to using peel-offs and pre-printed sentiments at the moment.

With the Brionni Trust work.  We finally managed to get the JustGiving link up and working as we have quite a few events planned for this year.  I can't believe this will be our 10th year going.  We have planned our 10th Anniversary sponsored walk on the 5th June which is what we originally started with - I can't believe though I am travelling back from holiday that day (bad planning!!!!!)  It is a such a great day and Brionni usually makes sure that the sun is shining for us.

We have another Race Night organised for a few weeks time on the 8th May so I was busy trying to make the programmes up - that's when the printer broke!!!!   The day after the walk we have a craft stall at the Scribbler's Picnic in Stirling on the 6th June - again that it such a fantastic day (It is like a mini music festival with loads of bands playing) - but the weather is a bit temperamental  there so fingers-crossed..  The girls will have sore legs from the day before but they won't mind soaking up the atmosphere in the deck chairs - as I say - it is a great day there.  We have some lovely peeps giving up their time and energy and running in the Edinburgh Half Marathon on our behalf in July - good luck to them - and finally we do have other charity stall dates still to advised and a band night again later on in the year.

Winter Wonderland, Allsorts & Stamptacular Sunday

Evening everyone and a special welcome to a couple of new followers - Hello!!!!. Not been up to much so far this week, found it quite hard to sit at my table 'coz of a sore back, brought the computer chair down from the spare room but that didn't help and then Baza brought home a chair that one of this work fellows was throwing out but unfortunately it hasn't helped either. Might have it ask Baza for a back massage.........lol.........rather have a fish supper!!!.....lol.
Back to the challenges, managed again to do a 2 in 1 card. Winter Wonderland is "Let it Snow" and Allsorts is Triangles.

Painted Milly with Snowman and added a little sparkle with some silver Stickles. Backing papers are from Papermania and finished off with a giant snowflake.
Since it is Fathers Day coming up on Sunday and I will be away to see Gary and the boys (hasn't quite sure if I had mentioned Take That - Hamden - Sunday......lol) I thought I better make a card for Baza from the cats Onyx & Jazz. Luckily for me Stamptacular Sunday's challenge is "Fathers Day" .

I cheated a little bit by using a stickeroo from Penny Black as it had the No.1 rosette. Backing paper from the DCWV Cat Scrap booking Kit as is the 2 cat stickers I used for the inside as they similar to my 2 fur balls I have at home.

Stamptacular Sunday, Forever Friends & Simon Says Challenges

A wonderful glorious afternoon to you all. I have just come in from the garden after spending some time enjoying the wonderful sunshine and now I have changed colour from the normally pale blue to a light pink!..
These are some challenges I made yesterday and just getting round to blogging now. Over at Stamptacular Sunday the theme was 'Chocolate' and I must admit that I have used the DT idea of making chocolate bags as I am always thinking of different ideas for our charity stall at Christmas & have used this as a prototype, hope you don't mind.

N.B. There was not harm to any reindeers in the making of this poo........lol.
The next challenge I attempted was over at Forever Friends - 'Buttons & Bows'.

I used one of the lovely decoupaged sets & popped a pink bow on the top. Papers from stash and I used a Cuttlebug embossing border.
And lastly I had a go over at Simon Says..............Animals. I have made this for my boss whose house myself & my work buddies are going to tonight for a wee drinkie, pizza and a beetle drive. It is years and years since I have been to one so I hope I cam remember how to play and shake those dice!!!!!!!!.

I used a Penny Black image, papers from Papermania and flowers from stash.
Off now to catch the last couple of rays of the evening before I head out.
