Evening my good friends, I am just relaxing and taking it easy this evening & posting this card I made last night. The image I was given but I am sure it is by Elzybellls. I treated myself to the new backing papers from Forever Friends. Flowers are made by using my x-cut daisy punches and popping a dollop of gold Stickles in the middle. The challenges I have made this for are:-
Back again, this time with one of the male cards done (Yippee - only about 5 more to do ...lol) I used the sketch over at this week's Friday Sketchers challenge and over at Stamp Something is "Something Funny". The froggy & boxer-shirt image is from High Hopes, backing paper is from K & Co Hopscotch (me thinks..lol), Funky foam stars are cut out with a Sizzix Paddle Punch.
Hello you lovely peeps, hope all is well and you all had a enjoyable weekend. Was working throughout the weekend so now enjoying my day off. Some of the housework jobs ticked off my to do list (not all ..lol) so now I can play!!!
It is a recipe challenge over at The Pink Elephant - Polka dots, a Bow & Pink!, just handy for me this week as the youngest member of my family, my niece, is gonna be 1 on Friday. I haven't used this Maggie image from Sugar Nellie for ages and ages. Backing paper is from DCVW Spring Stack and sentiment is printed up off my computer.
I have quite a few male birthdays coming up in the next couple of weeks so I will have to get my finger out with them 'coz I struggle with male cards so much.
Hello everyone in Blogland, hope all is well. My peace and quiet was shattered last night as Barry's football match was cancelled, plus Lesley & Ellie came for their dinner - but tonight however - I'm Free!!! I am doing to do a bit of blogging and hopping tonight to catch up with all you lovely peeps!
Starting off with this card for Penny Black's Saturday Challenge - Colour Combo "Blue, White & Gold", I combined the sketch from Get Sketchy. Again I cheated by using a Penny Black Stickeroo. Light blue & white card stock from pile and ribbon & sentiment are from stash.
You can probably tell I am in a minimalistic phase at the moment, brain is not coping with "Fiddly" at the moment so got to keep it simple ("suits you" I can hear you mutter....lol).
Yes!, I know, cheating again with a Stickeroo!!! This lovely card brighten up my day when I made it for Sophisticat's "Spring" challenge. I could just visualise myself skipping through the fresh meadows with the birds singing!!! .....lol.
And finally this above card is for both Creative Card Crew & Simon Says who asked to "Punch It". So out came the old faithful Sizllit's hearts and Nestibilitie's squares!!! This type of card is so handy for using up any scraps of card you have laying around. Used some wee Card Candy's (my fellow blogger friend, Marianne, told me what the technical name was for them - thanks xxx)
Afternoon everyone & a warm welcome to my new followers. All peeps who has entered the blog candy so far are in the draw for the 15th February. I have been having a lazy week in the crafting world and only done the odd card.
For this card, I have flipped the sketch across at Friday Sketchers and incorporated the challenge over at Colour Create - Kraft, Blue & White (with texture). I cheated a bit by using some Penny Black Stickeroo's. Blue star paper is from Papermania and rest of stuff from stash.
I am hopefully going to be posting a few cards throughout the day at I am home alone all day and all evening - yippee!!!!! Barry is going to watch the football this evening - Dundee v Livingston.
Hello peeps, hope all is well in Blogland. Just got one card in post this evening - 'coz I am a silly-billy - don't know if the rest of you do this. I jot down the wonderful challenges and sketches that are set to test us on a piece of paper, I go away and play at the table, stand back at look in awe at the miracle I have created with my fair hand (lol) then realise that the cut off time has pasted - DOH! .....Told you I am a silly-billy!!!! lol
Anyway I am getting this one in on time for Get Sketchy. I have used one of the Gorjuss Girls from Sugar Nellie (she should have a chicken with her but its now in the oven ...lol) The blue papers are from Papermania. Turquiose card is from scraps drawer and embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder, distressed it to the max with chalk ink.
Away now to sort my pieces of paper in some sort of order....lol.
Good evening to all my lovely fellow bloggers. I have my PJ's on already this evening and popping this card on before I head up to my table for a bit more card making - raring to go.....lol.
This charming couple are from Sugar Nellie's homegrown range - so cute! I followed the sketch across at the Sugar Bowl blog with the added theme of "Something New" and I incorporated Creative Card Crew's - "Distressing" which I did round the image with my ink chalk pad. Papers are a mixture from DCVW and Papermania. Flowers are from stash and I splashed some coloured glitter glue in them.
Morning everyone and for many of you a snowy one. My area must be only place in the UK without any snow, we have a green garden with chucks of ice in it! lol. It is my day off work today but I plan not to venture anywhere today - just want to stay home and play!!!
I used this ark stamp from High Hopes for the challenges across at Papertake Weekly - "New Beginnings" and Cute Card Thursday - "All New". The little ducky it cut out of funky foam with a Sizzix Paddlepunch. All the other bits 'n' bobs are from stash.
............... I'm so crazy, all for the love of you - and I have forgotten how much I love this Daisy stamp from Sugar Nellie, she is just the cutest. For this card I followed the sketch over at Crafts 4 Eternity with the added challenge of Blue & White and stitching (real or fake). Also across at ABC Challenge Blog is "L" for layering.
The stamp is Daisy from Sugar Nellie and papers are from scrap drawer (Still not reducing down ....lol) Flowers, brad & sentiments are from stash.
Evening peeps. hope all is well and trying to beat this big freeze. Never left the house today but I could tell it was cold outside. Feeling really sorry for the garden birds just now, popped some bread out this morning, but the water outside was frozen solid and couldn't ever break through it with a hammer!
A lovely delivery man came this afternoon with a spare part for our living room fire - yippee!!! It has not been working since last year but we managed to get someone to look at it and now this evening we have heat! I am sitting here with wee rosy cheeks (or is that the wine - lol)
I have done a couple of cards today in between doing some various jobs about the house. This card is for Sketch Saturday and Charisma Cardz - "Pink, Brown, Cream & Toffee". I used one of the lovely Miss Anya's from The Greeting Farm and papers are from my scrap drawer. Flowers were made my using my X-cut daisy punches and popping a sequin in the middle.
Evening folks and how cold is it!!! I had to scrap the ice from the inside of my car this morning and coming home from work this evening it was -7 brrrrrrrrrr!!!! I am sitting just now on the laptop with my PJ's on, house coat, quilt and hot water bottle and I am still cold (might have to have a wee glass of wine to warm my bones up ...lol).
The clear stamp I got from a craft fair so don't know make and I just used my Cuttlebug Embossing folders "Swirl" and "Script" on plain card. I blinged the hearts on the church with some silver stickles. Ribbon, pearls and sentiment is from stash.
Evening all peeps, back to work today - boo hiss!!!! and a special warm welcome to Banessa and Ursula my newest followers. I love this stamp and with it being of a frog it is got to be on my favourite list. I am quite surprised I have not used it by now - must have been keeping it for good and what better use than for my niece's, little Ellie-pie's birthday next week who is going to be a whopping big 5 years old.
I have used the super sketch from over at Papertake Weekly and included the challenges at Charisma Cardz which is "Birthday" and My Time to Craft which is "Anything Goes". Frog stamp it from Stampin' Up and backing papers are from scrap drawer which I am trying to get down.
Happy New Year everyone!!!! Sorry it is a couple of days late - a fine excuse would be that I have just sobered-up from the celebrations be alas that is not the case - it is Internet hiccups....lol.
I am so glad to be back to normal. Took all the decorations down this morning, gosh, the house looks so bare now, and you could see the dust! Still trying to find places for the pressies that Santa was so kind to leave for me, at the moment they are in a neat pile in the bedroom but the chocolate pile has taken a whack (Bazabing has a very sweet tooth .... lol).
I cannot believe fellow bloggers that I made my blog 1 year ago, met so many lovely peeps and been given so much inspiration from others. To celebrate and to say a massive thank you to all you gorgeous people I am putting together a wee blog candy so watch this space shorty.
Back to work tomorrow (was only off for a few days) so I have been playing at my table yesterday and today and managed to make a card or two. I feel a bit rusty and out of practice.
I don't know about the rest of you but I am so glad to not to having to make a Christmas card for at least another month or so. I usually try and start on my family birthday cards for the rest of the year but as any other New Year's resolution - it never lasts.........lol. I loved the challenge over at Colour Create this week is "Lemon & Lime" with spring flowers. I dug out my Miss Anya stamp and put her to work, handy as over at Anyone for Anya it is "Anything Goes" and I used the fabby sketch at The Pink Elephant
