Love the Bump

Evening my lovelies, how is everyone.  I am still trying to catch up with the commissioned card orders so have had not much time to play.  My new job is going great, my head is pickled with insurance and risk terminology but really enjoying taking in new information.

I made this card for a work colleague whose baby is due end February.  We all gave her the card and a wee pressie last Friday and she had a wee baby girl two days later, a good few weeks early.  Both are doing well thankfully.  The baby bump template is one I have used previously many times before and have used up scrap card/paper from stash.  The challenges covered are:-

Butterflies

Good afternoon all, hope you are all enjoying the weekend.  It is a bit chilly here today, with snow on the hills, so it is a day in the house me thinks.

This card is made using this fabby sentiment stamp from Little Claire, the butterfly diecut is from Sizzix and I used my Swiss adopts embossing folder.  Ribbon and gems are from stash.  The challenges covered are:-

White on White Wedding Card

Good afternoon peeps, hope all is well in Blogland.  It is a very soggy Saturday here in Central Scotland, no thunder or lightning yet but it is really clammy.  Just back from having a lovely afternoon tea at Airth Castle, near Stirling, with friends, it is good to have a wee catchup and bleather.   So back home now watching the German Grand Prix qualifying with Barry as he relaxes on the couch - I am positive he has not moved from when I left the house earlier. Lol....

I really enjoyed making this card using my Nesties elegant rectangles and my Swiss dots embossing folder.  It is decorated by a gold rub on sentiment and some gold trimmed ribbon.  The challenges covered today are:-

You Don't Bring Me Flowers Anymore ....

Good morning peeps,  cannot believe it is Sunday again already.  My week off has gone so quickly and only managed yesterday to spend some time at my table.  Barry and I had to lovely days out in Glasgow and Dundee though the week.

Then, typically, our hoover finally gave up the ghost and had to go Hoover shopping,  oh my word!  I couldn't believe what a difference the new one has made, I was so embarrassed at how much stoor it picked up!  I am convinced that the old one was spitting out dust instead of sucking it up! Lol..

So as I said earlier, I had a wee play at my table yesterday afternoon as I had a few cards to make for an order and also I managed to rustle this one up too using a Pennyblack stickeroo.  The paper is a sheet out of a forever friends paperback.  Ribbon, brad and buttons are from stash.  Tools used are Nesties and an embossing folder.  The challenges covered are:-

I will have peace and quite this afternoon as Barry is heading out to the Dundee v Manchester City friendly football match so I may be back with some more creations.

This hedgie image is from Penny Black.  Designer paper is a freebie from a craft magazine, card is from stash.  I embossed the corrugated card and then distressed inked it.  Ribbon, sentiment diecut, card candi and charm are from craft stash.  Tool used are  a snowflake embossing folder and square Nesties.  The challenges covered are:-

And for the peeps that know me all too well, I have had another accident prove moment, I went to put my feet up on the reclining chair in the living room and it broke!  Oops .... Diamonds and Pearls

Good evening everybody, hope all is well in the cypher world of Blogland.  Apologises for being a bad blogger of late, not really had a chance to play, but fingers crossed I am hoping for a craft day on Saturday.

This is a commissioned card for one of the girls from work, I think it is for her nephew and the picture is of the future bride's beautiful diamond ring.  If you haven't already guessed, I love doing these double easel cards.  My scalloped square Nesties are just the right size for the front bases.  Other Nesties sed are a labels set and the oval smooth and scalloped.  I have embellished this card with clear gems, pearls, ribbon and a pearl buckle which I have had in my craft stash for yonks and yonks and yonks.  The challenges covered are:-

Back again, watched the tennis, what a shame for Andy Murray, maybe next time. Surprise I'd better start on the housework now ... or maybe I can find another excuse to delay it further .... lol..

Tools used are my Swiss Dots and Divine Swirls embossing folders, Sizzix hearts die cuts and a Martha Stewart zig zag border punch. Sentiment, brad and peel off gold borders are from stash. Hello.........

Morning!!!....................

Apologises for not being on Blogland for a while,  for a wee change I've had a diary full of night outs so not had much chance for a wee chance to play at my table.  I have also been doing a few commissioned cards for peeps which I can share with you all when I can get the chance...

Also we nipped away on a weeks holiday to Lanzarote which was great.  We needed a week to relax and enjoy some kind of sunshine.  Was a bit of a shock to the system though landing back in Glasgow to freezing weather ..... brrrrrr ... heating straight on...lol.

So this weekend I have been looking forward to getting all sticky and covered in glitter ...lol... easy pleased me! ....lol...  Last week was a week of 70th Birthdays with Barry's mum and my mum hitting this milestone. This is the Easel Card I made for Maisie, Barry's mum to mark her special birthday.

The sentiment was printed off the computer, Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, Gems, peeloffs & ribbons are from stash.  Tools used are leaf punches, embossing folders & Oval Nesties.  The challenges covered are:-

Sunday Already

Where goes the weekend go! .... I must admit it has been spent must of the time playing with new kitty Woody, he is a cheeky chap and definitely been here before ...lol..  He is also the reason I've not done must crafting this week either. Onyx and him are getting on great but Jazz still is still wary of him - doesn't help that Woody charges after him like an annoying little brother! ...lol..

I did have a little chance to play yesterday afternoon.  I used this beautiful flower stamp which was a freebie out a crafting magazine, coloured with my pencils.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Metal butterfly charm is from Meliflower Crafts with the peel-off sentiment and ribbon is from stash.  Tools used are Oval Nesties, embossing folder and MS zig-zag border punch.  The challenges covered are:-

Spring has Sprung!

Morning peeps and a very happy Spring to you all.  We have been so, so lucky this week with this glorious weather, shame I was at work, but what a difference it does make to your day.  But as always, all good things must come to an end as it is going to turn next week, we are expecting snow this coming Monday/Tuesday!! Back to normal for us here then - Jumpers and Wellies ...lol...

Sorry I have blogged as of late due to a mixture of computer hiccups and we, at the Charity have been busy making some gorgeous wedding invites for a lovely couple's big day in June.

I have a few commissioned cards to do as well and I shall share them with your good selves as I do the and I should be getting creative again and start experimenting with some new toys I have acquired.  They have been shouting out from the corner of the room for months "Play with me!"

This is one of the commissioned cards.  It has been years since I have done an Easter card, so I really had to get my thinking cap on.  I remenbered I had an old Sizzix Cross embossing folder somewhere so I hunted it out from the cupboard.  Other tools used was my Swiss Dots embossing folder, diecut swirls and Leaf Punch.  From stash was Card Candy, ribbon,  flowers and gemstones.  The challenges covered are:-

CAS Thank You

Evening peeps. Posting this before I hop off to bed as my eyes feel like they are drawn out their sockets due to being the computer all night. The reason, trying to find a new car as poor Wilma is back in the garage once again. I had to get push started twice today - first one was at the petrol station and a lovely retired gentlemen came to my rescue as Wilma refused to move from the forecourt, the second was at my work where two of the mechanics helped me get going - brownie points for them!!!! So my weekend ahead consists of car hunting....

Back to some sort of reality, one of my New Year's Resolutions is to use up some of my old stash I had had for yonks and yonks and yonks. So I did a lucky dip into my stash pile and pulled out a sheet of rub-ons flowers I go free with a crafting magazine. I have made a few cards from it, one of which is this. The challenges covered are:-

We're heading for a heatwave.....

or so the weather forecasters are telling us ......... but I have my doubts.  My neighbours must have thought I was nuts this morning the back of eight as I am hanging out washing in the Scottish drizzle, but I was thinking I was the smart cookie as Carol, the BBC weather girl told me it was going to bright & sunny by 10am and I smugly drove to work daydreaming that on my return I would have lovely dry clothes smelling on the sweet Autumn air!  - Alas, I have returned home to a sodden line of clothes, wetter than what they went out!!!!  Indian Summer, my eye! ....lol..

Anyway,  how ya all doing in Blogland, hope all is well.  Not had much chance to play this end, with the nights drawing in I will have to start making a real effort to go to my table in the evenings instead of sneaking off to my cozy bed. However I have managed to do this card over the weekend.

The image is an adorable older one from Sugar Nellie, "Picking Apples" I think she is called.  The backing papers were a freebie out a magazine I treated myself to at the weekend.  Paper flowers, sentiment and card candi's are from stash.  The challenges covered are:-
