Happy New Year

Well, I failed miserably on Last Years Resolutions, so I am not making any for 2017.  I should know by now, that best made plans often go out the window and the 2016 ones certainly did.

One of the big changes I had in my life last year, was a change of Job.  Still with the same emergency service but a more challenging role, new location and hopefully the prospect of qualifications at the end.  On the down side is that I have less time to craft due to the longer travel time and my brian being pickled with all the new information it is taking on board.  When I have been making cards, that have usually been quick cards and were not good enough to blog.

Over the festive season, I have had chance to relax and play at my table which I have really enjoyed and missed.  Hopefully, going forward, I can find a balance between work, study and play.

Anyway, enough prattling on, this is a card I have made following a few challenges.  The hedgehogs are Penny Black clear stamps with I coloured and added some Stickles to their scarves.  The backing paper is scrap from an old Papermania paperback, sentiment is a Hunkydory one and snowflake is a Sizzix diecut.  Tools used was my snowflake embossing folder. The challenges covered are:-

Shopaholics

Morning peeps, hope all are enjoying the weekend.  You would not believe that British Summertime starts this weekend (remember to move clocks forward one hour) as looking out the window just now it is blowing a "hoolie" here...lol.

I am hoping to get to my table for a few hours, I have not had chance to "play" with some new must have purchases and they are stilling in their delivery box... Before I do though I am blogging this commissioned card made using a Miss Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm, papers are from a docrafts paperback, diecut handbags are from stash and I decorated them using bits and bobs laying around. Tools used were rectangle and oval Nesties.  The challenges covered are:-

Life is like a Butterfly ....

Morning folks,  hope everyone is having a good weekend.  The weather today is slightly better, it was a shame yesterday that the charity day got cancelled because of it, fingers crossed it gets rescheduled for another day soon.

This is a commissioned card I was asked to make with a vintage theme.  I must admit, doing this style of card is totally out of my comfort zone and takes me forever to make after my fussing about... Lol.. The backing card is from Kanban.  The butterfly diecut is a Marieanne Creatable.  The flowers and pearly beady things are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Large sentiment is one from docrafts, the lace, rub on sentiment and gems are from stash.  The tools used are chalk inks and  scalloped square, oval nesties and square labels.  The challenges covered are:-

Wedding card - double easel

Good evening peeps, back again with another double easel card. I so love doing these and they are surprising easy to do and so effective. This time I have used a Sugar Nellie image from funky kits. Most of the card is made up of the scalloped square Nesties, they fit so right.  I have embossed each layer of card with Divine Swirls embossing folder.  The embellishments are clear gems, paper ribbon and peel offs.  The challenges covered today are:-
