Mojo Monday

Evening folks. I haven't been as productive as I had hoped today. I have been faffing about this evening and come up with this creation for the sketch over at Mojo Monday.
I have used the lovely Claudia from Sugar Nellie, embossed with my Cuttlebug folders, backing paper is from DCWV, flowers and sentiment tag from stash and finishing off with a little sandal charm.
Sorry it is a short post, hope all is well and hopefully back on soon.

Forever Friends Sketch

Good afternoon to one and all, hope you are having a jolly Wednesday. This is me just started to play after being blackafronted by my Wii-Fit. Thought I better go on it today as I knew I hadn't been exercising for a wee while. Well, I could just tell by the tone of it's voice it wasn't happy with me...lol. Had not been on it for 119 days! Didn't think it had been that long! So feeling guilty I did very single exercise that was open, so now that my heart rate has gone down and the beads of sweat have disappeared from my brow I managed to do this little card for the Forever Friends Challenge, it is a lovely sketch from Emma.I love black and white at the moment so I decided to try and use up some of my scraps as my scrap folder is choc-a-bloc. Colour Create #13

Afternoon again folks, I am so enjoying my day playing today. Watched the London Marathon, had to clean my specs at least half a dozen times listening to people's reasons, boy, makes you realise how lucky you are and how brave they are. Now I am onto watching a recording of the Formual 1 Grand Prix, had to wait on Baza getting in from the golf and him making the brunch.
I have had a go at the Colour Create Challenge, the colour combo this week was Orange, Green & Brown with the optional challenge of making it for a male. It was set this week by the lovely Jo, Boots the Monkey, check out her blog, her work is amazing.
On this card I have used the Clare Curd's stamps from Papermania and the backing paper from DCWV.
Thanks for peeking.

Sugar Bowl #9 - MEN!

Morning peeps. Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday. I was up bright and early this morning 'coz I have a mammoth day ahead - A CRAFTATHON - Yeah! The slow cooker is on with a homemade curry in it (Madras, so have popped the toilet roll in the freezer.....lol) - that's dinner taken care of so now I can play!
I managed to make this card for the Sugar Bowl already this morning while watching the London Marathon (its still on). It is amazing how these people can do it and for so many good causes and heartwarming stories - hats off to them!
The challenge was to make something for a man. I decided to use Karate Kid Luca stamp, the backing papers are from the Dovecraft Fantasy range, coin & peel off from stash.
Thanks for peeking.

Creeping In..........Hello everyone

Sorry I haven't been on for a long time, I seem to have had a bit of a hectic week or so (either that or I have been abducted by aliens...lol).
You don't have any nights out for as long and then they all come along at once. I went to the local Italian for a meal with the girls from work, unfortunately the waiters aren't the kind that swoo you off your feet, for starters one of them is Spanish and another Greek/Croatian (yeah, work that one out!) so they didn't have the usual Italian patter and secondly they are a bit......emm....mature if you catch my drift. Nevertheless, the food is amazing and lets face it, that is why I was there.....lol. Then the following night, Baza's Football Supporter's Club had a fun raising night at a local hotel where his nephew was playing in his band. They did really well but I did feel a bit out of place with all the "groupies" there, really felt my age plus I didn't know half the songs they played...lol. Came home with a sore head... Gosh really showing my age now!!.. Then, the following day it was my Birthday!... so I had a lovely day, apart from working, but I got a red neck, that Baza sent me flowers at work....well....my face was scarlet when the delivery guy handed me them right in front of the customers - total beamer!
Baza & me don't do birthdays, we do "Birthday Weeks" so most of this week I have been pigging out on takeaways and having one or two extra glasses for wine. It is also meant that I am to be waited on hand & foot but somehow that didn't happen to much this year - don't know if maybe I had been too demanding....lol....peel my a grape....fan me down......do the the washing, ironing, hoovering, dusting, tidying, polished, gardening (if only that part was true...lol)
So hopefully this is me starting to get back into some sort of routine again. This evening I have managed to make a card for the Just Magnolia challenge. The theme is Pink & Green so hopefully I have managed that.
I have popped the Tilda image onto a couple flowers from Poppicrafts, diecut swirlies from Nestibilities and the backing paper is from the Fantasy Range from Dovecraft.

Charisma Cardz #14

Good evening everyone, can't believe that is us half way through this week already - time does fly! It is nice to potter about in the garden now that the nights are drawing out. I would be the first to admit that I do not have green fingers but I am going to attempt a mini (well micro) vegetable patch. I am going to try and grown some lettuces for the summer salads. I have bought the seeds and the grown bag so we will see what happens.....
I have only managed to do one card today for Charisma cardz, the challenge is a Green & Purple theme which is a lovely combo.
I have used a cute wee Tilda image, DCVW backing paper (surprise, surprise) and flowers & brads from stash.

Stamp with Stampavie

Evening peeps, hope everyone has had a lovely day. I have and looking forward to this evening by watching the final day of the golf Masters and maybe create a few more cards. This challenge, Stamp with Stampavie, is where you can use any stamp and this week the theme was "Red & White".
I have used an image from a stamp from Stampin Up, backing papers, yep, are from a DCVW stack and sentiment is from stash.
I have a dilemma tomorrow, as Baz and I are off we were going to go out for the day but secretly I would just like to stay home and play. He likes going to the shops while I hate it (except craft ones...lol). Might have to compromise and go for a bar lunch and a wee drive around.

Well done Hazel (Didos) & 2 challenges

Well done to Hazel for correctly guessing "Moulin Rouge" in my Easter egg competition. I don't know whether it was our fabulous work on our masterpieces....lol.... or the feathers that gave it away!!!
Barry is away playing golf this morning so while he has been away I have managed two little cards. The first one is for A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge which is "How Old?".
I have used my "Embrace" stamp from Penny Black which I adore and popped on some small gold flowers from my stash and decorated them with Stickles. The Backing paper is from the English Paper Co.
The other challenge I have done is a brand new challenge blog Stamp with Fun, so check it out!. It was a fabulous sketch by Saphira.
My backing papers are from the Wedding scrapbook set from DCVW, Forever Friends stamp, diecut wedding cake which I have decorated with gold Stickles. Flowers and sentiment are from my stash.
Even though the sun is splitting the skys I am heading back to my table to hopefully create some more.

Cute Card Thursday - Citrus Colours

It's me again, I just couldn't resist to use one of my Miss Anya Stamps again for this challenge from Cute Card Thursday. Loved using the bright colours, cheered me up as it is miserable outside.
As well as Miss Anya I used Sugar Nellie's Angus stamp, foam shapes & ribbon are from stash and the backing paper is from a DCWV stack.

Charisma Cardz #13

Good afternoon everyone and I hope you are all fine and dandy. Gosh, I can't believe we are into April already, doesn't time fly. It is my day off today so the housework is done and now I can play!!!! I should really be in the garden, tidying it up and making it a bit presentable but instead I have the house to myself until Barry comes home from work so I am enjoying every moment - even the pussycats are out catching mice.
I have started with a fabulous sketch over at Charisma Cardz. I apologise in advance for the quality in the photos, it is dull and overcast here - typical, on my day off.
The sentiment does say "Birthday" - I wish I could take better photos. The image, I think, is a Rachel Ann Miller (but don't quote me on that) and flowers and brads from stash.
Speak soon.

I have made a card from another sketch, this time from the Truly Scrumptious challenge. Also you have to include "Flower Power".
Well, I don't know if I have OD'd on the "Flower Power" in the backing paper, image, embellishments, corners & sentiment - only the charm isn't..
Well back to my table.

Spoon Full of sugar

Afternoon All -again!, Yes, back again, this time with my attempt on the sketch from A Spoon full of Sugar. Please take the time to checkout the DT cards on this as they are all totally amazing!!! This was a very intricate sketch and it has took me ages to try and fit everything in!.

I have used a Magnolia Tilda image (sorry - don't know her name) and layered her on Nesties, used some papers from my scraps stash. I used a mixture of punched flowers and prima-like ones & popped stickles in the centre.

Christmas & Birthday Challenge Sketch

Morning everyone. I hope everyone is well this Sunday morning. We have sunshine here is Central Scotland, hope lasts the the rest of the day so I can get the washing done...lol. And inbetween hopefully get a couple of more cards done, I have got mojo mayhem coming out of my ears but not enough time to make them.
I have started with morning with the great sketch from the Just Christmas & Birthday Cards, a fab way to get those Xmas cards done.
For the Christmas card I have used an image from the 12 days of Xmas from Penny Black and then used up some bits of scraps from my stash.
This card is for one of my big brothers, who is getting on a bit...lol.... still trying to catch him up. It is his birthday this week so I will have to remember to pop it in the post this time..

Evening Peeps - 2 challenges

Evening all in Blogland, hope everyone is well. I must apologise for not being a good blogger at the mo. I promise I will get better, too much other stuff going on. I have managed 2 little cards so far this week and hopefully after posting this I am going to sit and attempt another while watching the footie with a nice glass of red.
My first one is a colour challenge from Magnolia v Stampavie, it is to use Black, White & Red with the option on Grey. Great Combo - especially as I had to do a male 30th Birthday Card for one of my friend's partners who's party we are going to on Saturday - so I will have to be on my best behaviour - Boo Hiss!

I used Edwin which has been lovingly coloured by Lesley & her magic promarkers. The backing papers are from my stash of DCWV papers (which never seem to go down like a peas pudding pot). The photo, I'm afraid, doesn't like my sentiment at the bottom very much but it reads "Celebrate Today".
My next card is for one of my good friend's Laura, who's birthday is only a couple of days after mine. I just could not resist to use one of my new Anya stamps which I HAD to have. I have used the brilliant sketch from Mojo Monday for this one.

Again DCWV papers, a bit of cuttlebug swirl embossing and gems & ribbon from stash.
Sorry it is such a short post and hopefully be back on soon.
Cuddles.
