Nice day for a White Wedding

Good morning, and a lovely sunny morning it is too, though I don't think it is going to last long as I can see dark clouds heading my way. Lol.. Oh, well, good excuse to head to my craft table and not venture out...lol..

I am off work on holiday this week, nothing planned so it will probably be a few days out here and these, a few pub lunches and I am hoping a few hours crafting...lol.

I am seriously low in our charity cards for weddings, anniversaries and baby cards and needing to make some for a few craft fairs coming up next month so here is a start.  The  card is made using square and heart Nesties, embossing folders, gems and bows from stash.  The challenges covered are:-

Shocked by the Power

Good afternoon my lovely blogger friends, I'm surprised I still have any as I have not been on for the last five months - sorry.   I have been crafting, but nothing for blogging or more often or not I would forget to take a photo before handing it to the receipant lol.

We have been busy however over at The Brionni Trust will charity stalls, Race Nights and even an abseil off the Forth Rail Bridge in memory of Brionni in aid of CHAS.

Well, fingers crossed, I will be back on more often.  This afternoon I have been back at my table along will my good friend Lesley, aka Pinkles Dreams, having a wee play, a bleather and a cheeky wee drink or two ..lol..

This card I made using a unknown image from stash, also gems, twine, charm and sentiment are from stash pile.  Striped paper from scrap drawer.  Tools used are an embossing folder and corner punch.  The challenges covered today are:-

Baby Stepper Card

Afternoon peeps.  Just back from one of our Christmas Craft Fairs with The Brionni Trust, and we managed to raise £73, not to bad for a few hours work and that it wasn't very busy.  One down and one to go tomorrow.  Just posting this while having a well deserved cup of coffee and swithering whether or not to head up to my table for a wee play.

Had a great day yesterday at the Hobbycrafts Craft Show in Glasgow.  Stocked up in all my essential items and managed to grab a couple of bargain buys at the same time.  Surprised myself though - I never indulged in a must have purchase *note to self* must try harder the next time! .... lol..

Now, I warned you all I was into making Stepper cards - and there's another one, a boy's christening card.
The main image is a diecut image from Lili of the Valley.  The little teddy bears & ducks are cut from funky foam by Sizzix Paddle Punches and decorated by using Liquid Pearls and a black marker.  The challenges covered are:-

Golfer's Glory

Morning peeps.  How is everyone.  Sorry I have not been on as late, I have been up to my eyes in reindeer, snowman & ghost poo! ....lol.....  The Brionni Trust has two (yes two) craft stalls next weekend on Saturday & Sunday so I'm manicly trying to make items to help fill the table.  I had plans to make so many other gift items but have quickly ran out of time...... * Note to self * Start making gifts for next year in January ....lol...

Barry is doing really well after his operation last week to is going back to work tomorrow (Monday).  He had a quiet celebration for his 40th birthday as wasn't really up for a big bash.  This is the stepper card I made for him since he is a keen golfer.

The digi image is from Kenny K, coloured with my whisper pens.   The diecut trophy & fence shapes are from stash as is the metal stars. Metallic confetti is recycled  from last year ( My 40th ...lol\) .  The Scoreboard I made designed myself off the computer.  The challenges covered are:-

Summer? .... Where? ....

Good morning everyone, hope all is well in Blogland with you all.  Well, that's the longest day past and the  nights now are going to start to draw in!?!  Hard to believe isn't it! Where has this year (and summer) done!! Thinking to myself that I will have to start on - *whispers* - Christmas cards soon - sshh!!! but that seems to really wish the year away ...lol...

Last Sunday we had our Brionni Trust stall at the Scribblers Picnic, Stirling,  a really good fun day despite the rain and we managed to raise over £138.00 - thanks for everyone's support and donations.

Since the weather has been totally pants, I decided to do a summery themed card to cheer myself up.  I've done quite a Clean & Simple card as I wanted to show off the papers (freebie from a crafty magazine).  I coloured the Magnolia image with my whisper pens so it was bold & bright.  The sentiment is printed off the computer and the sunglasses embellishment is from crafty stash.  The challenges covered today are:-
Hopefully I will be back on later day.  Barry is apparently going to treat me to lunch but we will wait and se ...lol...

Things ... can only get better!!!

Evening folks, just checking how every one's weekend is going so far. Mine is going better as the day has gone on. Started badly as went out to the car this morning and ....... flat tyre ...... help! ... luckily Baza (aka Knight in shining armour) was on hand to change it over.

So now I was a running late to get to the Albert Halls, Stirling for our charity stall. We were that last ones to get set up, but we managed ...... even though in the haste to get the car packed up due to the above mentioned tyre we had forgot to pack the card display racks and boxes ...help!! .... but with a bit of improvisations with cardboard boxes, tupperware and balancing we did the best we could...lol.

At last, we could relax and enjoy the day, as every year, it is always a pleasure to go there and see alot of regular friendly faces from customers to fellow stall holders. Then ... crash .... one of our balancing display acts of gift tags toppled over and managed to spill coffee everywhere ... (mostly on my jacket ...lol) ... thank goodness the splashes missed our stall goodies.  Then feeling left out, our jewellery display board started to get in the act by throwing itself off the table a couple of times when people went past! ...lol .... and  finally when moving the selection of gift bags across to the other side of the table... another coffee goes flying .... this time my cardigan got it!! ...lol

But after all that, it was still a good fun day and I think we managed to raise over £120 - woohoo!!! So now back home I have got my  feet-up and a wee glass of cheeky Red in hand getting comfy on the sofa to watch Strictly Come Dancing ....  come on Russell and Favia....

B-I-N-G-O

Evening peeps, hope you all are well here in Blogland. Nothing exciting to report in, I have been pretty boring really. Still no further forward with the mysterious water leak into the kitchen, so the bathroom remains ripped apart in case it happens again. Finished off some wedding favours last night that we, (the charity) were asked to do and tonight I should be really making a start on some "Reindeer Poo" for the sale we are having at the Albert Halls, Stirling on Saturday.

This card is a commissioned one that I was asked to do for a female bowler who likes a few games of bingo. The bowler is a Sizzix diecut with the bowling balls made with a circle punch and the bits out of a paper punchy holey maker. The bingo balls are made from funky foam and peel-offs with the bingo card being one from an old book. The challenges covered are:-

Wedding Card

Good afternoon peeps, hope you are all having a lovely weekend in Blogland.  The middle of June and I have had to pop the heating on - where is summer!?!  - it is wet and windy here in Central Scotland.  Such a shame too as alot of the local towns and villages close by are having their Gala days today and tomorrow.

The Brionni Trust have a stall at the Scribbler's Picnic in Stirling tomorrow and I am seriously thinking about popping out this afternoon and getting myself a pair of wellies! - come rain of shine it is always a fun day there and local reports are that Gamu (from the X Factor) is singing on the main stage.

I've have chance for a wee play at my time and made this wedding card.  The diecut bride & groom have been in my stash from year dot mounted on rectangle Nesties embossed by my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.   Flowers, silver heart & pearl buckle are from Wild Orchid Crafts, swirls diecuts are by Marianne Creations and leaves are punches.  Sentiment, silver ribbon & pearls are all from stash.  The challenges covered are:-

Celebration Time (Come on)

Good evening to all my Blogland buddies.  I must apologise for not being on a while, been a wee bitty busy of late with holidays, 40th birthdays,  helping fundraising for The Brionni Trust.  But now my social calender is slowly returning back to normal (i.e. empty ....hehe) I hopefully should be back to posting regularly again.

I was asked a few weeks ago to make a graduation card for someone qualifing to become a Podiatrist.  This City Girl stamp is from Whiff of Joy, coloured with my "the works" paints.  The little feet are made with a Sizzix Paddle Punch and handmade the scroll.  Sentiment printed of the computer and zig-zag border done with MS punch.  The challenges covered are:-

Charity Update - We did it!!!

Just to let my lovely followers know that last night's Charity 10th Year Anniversary Band Night for the The Brionni Trust went wonderfully well.  It was a great night and a fantastic turnout.  The people where brilliant, we could not have done it without the help of so many folk.  As I said yesterday we were hoping to raise last night about £1600 to get us to our goal of £100,000 over the last ten years - well, we exceeded all expectations and the rolling total is now a staggering:-

                           over £101,000.......... Fantastic!!!

I can't believe it!!!  The generosity of everyone is truly awesome and every single penny raised is so appreciated by so many.

Laptop Crisis!!!!

Yep - I have done it again and broke the laptop.  I should know by now that electrical appliances and myself don't mix! ... lol.  Took the laptop to the repair shop on Thursday and it is "kaput" and I have lost all my photos from holidays & cards etc... Lesson to myself to start putting them on discs.  So I am using the PC upstairs.

I have not done as much crafting as I had hoped this week as been decorating and doing jobs in the garden and even they didn't go to plan...... with broken lights, freezer and ripped lino.

Anyway, I have managed to make a something.  Decided to get the heat gun out the cupboard to have a wee play and this is the result.

The embossed image is a stamp I think from a Do-crafts Goody Bag years ago.  The Snowflake embossing folder is used and I patted a cats eye chalk ink pad over it.  Ribbon and sentiment is from stash.  The challenges covered are:-
This afternoon I am busy helping making up food for a buffet for tonight.  We are holding our 10th Year Anniversary Charity Band Night on behalf of The Brionni Trust.  It will be a terrific night with a local band playing.  We are hoping to raise about £1600 tonight to get to our target of £100,000 since we started 10 years ago.

ABC Xmas - 'Q' is for Quick & Easy

Afternoon everyone, I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  The weather here today is not as nice as yesterday so it is a good excuse to stay indoors....lol.

A lot of people kindly donate their old Christmas cards to me to help raise money for The Brionni Trust and I generally recycle them in one way or another.  Most of the time I cut them up to make gift tags but there is always a few that are "too gorgeous" to re-use in that way so I pop them to the side until I figure out a well deserved destiny for them.

The challenge across at ABC Christmas Challenge Blog fits that purpose for quite a few of them.  It is to use the sketch and make multiple cards under the theme "Quick & Easy".  The cards are made with plain black & white card, embossed with Cuttlebug embossing folders. and I  placed black Stickles in the corners.

Happy Birthday

Good afternoon peeps, hope you are all well and having a lovely weekend.  The sun is shining here in Bonnie Scotland (at the mo!...lol)  but it comes with a chilly wind.  Just having a wee play this afternoon as this evening it is the Charity Race Night so looking forward to it.

There are loads of celebrations going on in Blogland this week.  Penny Black Saturday Challenge are celebrating their 100th challenge with a fantastic Blog Hop, they have a fantastic sketch to follow and fabulous prizes to be won.  Stamp Something Saturday are also celebrating their 100th challenge and for this it is to create a "Birthday Something".  And finally, Simon Says are celebrating their 1st Bloganniversay with a "Birthday/Celebration" theme and they too are having a fabulous Blog Hop.

I dug my PB cow stamp out of the drawer as I am making this card for a lady who lives on a farm and I have discovered I have very few farmyard stamps to choose from .....lol.  The DP's and flowers are from my stash that never seems to be going down (so I can't use that as an excuse to buy more....lol.) ..............

............and finally, it is official.  My printer has gone to the ink jet city in the sky.........lol.  We will have to make do without one for a few more weeks yet though as we go on holiday soon and need my pennies for that...lol.

Stamptacular Sunday & Charity News

Good morning everyone, sorry I have been a bad blogger lately.  Been a bit busy with some work for the charity which I shall tell you all about.  The housework is done, the wee jobs out the way so the rest of the day is my own and I am planning to play.  You lucky lot might be experiencing the warm sunshine but I have a cloudy, but dry, sky here so it is a good enough excuse not to go anywhere.....lol.

Anyway, I thought I better post a card while I am gabbing on, It is a little quick card which suits the challenge over at Stamptacular Sunday - "A Penguin Celebration", unfortunately I didn't have a penguin so instead I used the black & white theme. The flower stamp is a Penny Black and the papers are from my never ending scrap pile.  My printer is broken again, so I am back to using peel-offs and pre-printed sentiments at the moment.

With the Brionni Trust work.  We finally managed to get the JustGiving link up and working as we have quite a few events planned for this year.  I can't believe this will be our 10th year going.  We have planned our 10th Anniversary sponsored walk on the 5th June which is what we originally started with - I can't believe though I am travelling back from holiday that day (bad planning!!!!!)  It is a such a great day and Brionni usually makes sure that the sun is shining for us.

We have another Race Night organised for a few weeks time on the 8th May so I was busy trying to make the programmes up - that's when the printer broke!!!!   The day after the walk we have a craft stall at the Scribbler's Picnic in Stirling on the 6th June - again that it such a fantastic day (It is like a mini music festival with loads of bands playing) - but the weather is a bit temperamental  there so fingers-crossed..  The girls will have sore legs from the day before but they won't mind soaking up the atmosphere in the deck chairs - as I say - it is a great day there.  We have some lovely peeps giving up their time and energy and running in the Edinburgh Half Marathon on our behalf in July - good luck to them - and finally we do have other charity stall dates still to advised and a band night again later on in the year.

Charity Stall

Just to let you all know that we had a very good day at the Charity Christmas Fayre at the Albert Hall, Stirling yesterday.  We raised over £170 which is fantastic.  The hall was not as busy as previous years yet it still is a good day and nice to see some regular faces.

Hello...............

Morning everyone.  No, I have not fallen through the centre of the earth or been abducted by Aliens but I feel I have been missing something - and it is YOU LOT!!!!!!!........lol........ hopefully I will have a bit more time to play.

This is one of the commissioned cards I have to make a christening coming up (again all funds go to the Brionni Trust).  I have used a Gorjuss Girl image from Sugar Nellie, Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder, paper is from stash as is ribbons & flowers.  I am just waiting to find out what wording they are wanting on the front which I am going to pop on the lower left hand side.  I combined the following challenges into the card:-

I am off out this afternoon to prepare a buffet for the band gig we are having for the Trust tonight.  My culinary skills are not the greatest so I think I will be placed on the cheese butties!.....lol.....and the washing up!.

Truly Scumptious Challenge

Morning everyone. Here I am up bright and early, done all my wee jobs around the house apart the garden 'coz it is a bit cloudy and windy here today. Typical, Bank Holiday Monday and the weather is pants!...lol.
I am home alone today so I trying to get all my birthday cards done for the month plus the Charity has the first event of the year on Saturday 16th so I am trying to do some more cards for the stall for them to sell. It is being held in a local village hall, unfortunately I am having to be at my own work so making cards is my little contribution this time.
Started this morning doing the sketch over at Truly Scrumptious with the theme "Something to eat". I have cheekily used an Tilda image coloured by the lovely Lesley with her magic Pro-markers, she keeps trying to get me to buy them - not tempted at the mo - but never say never!

I have just used up some paper scraps and embossed them with various Cuttlebug folders. Brads and parcel embellie is from stash.
