Summer? .... Where? ....

Good morning everyone, hope all is well in Blogland with you all.  Well, that's the longest day past and the  nights now are going to start to draw in!?!  Hard to believe isn't it! Where has this year (and summer) done!! Thinking to myself that I will have to start on - *whispers* - Christmas cards soon - sshh!!! but that seems to really wish the year away ...lol...

Last Sunday we had our Brionni Trust stall at the Scribblers Picnic, Stirling,  a really good fun day despite the rain and we managed to raise over £138.00 - thanks for everyone's support and donations.

Since the weather has been totally pants, I decided to do a summery themed card to cheer myself up.  I've done quite a Clean & Simple card as I wanted to show off the papers (freebie from a crafty magazine).  I coloured the Magnolia image with my whisper pens so it was bold & bright.  The sentiment is printed off the computer and the sunglasses embellishment is from crafty stash.  The challenges covered today are:-
Hopefully I will be back on later day.  Barry is apparently going to treat me to lunch but we will wait and se ...lol...

Magnolia Baby Boy Card

Good morning peeps hope all in well out there in Blogland..  Spent a lovely afternoon yesterday with family and they were even brave enough to stay for dinner and sample some of my homemade cooking.  (not checked-up on the day yet to see if they ok....hehehe).  Today we were originally planning to have a wee day trip somewhere, but with a change of plan I am now hoping for a day of crafting at my table... lol ...  (my arm really needed twisted there didn't it!).

Coloured this fabby Baby Edwin image with my watercolour paints (still going strong for over 5 years - not bad for only £2.99 from The Works)  The blue ducky paper is a small leftover piece from my scrap drawer.  Little ducky brad is from stash and sentiment printed off computer.  Tools used were Swiss Dots & Little One embossing folders from Cuttlebug and my Oval Nesties.  The challenges covered are:-

It's snow funny anymore.....

Off again peeps, this time the roads are apparently alright, it is the work entrance that is all blocked.  The workshop boys, bless them, have been struggling in every morning this week, trying to clear a way in.  The next day they are having to start all over again!!!  The poor souls, they deserve a medal for all their efforts.  Finger-crossed for tomorrow, believe it or not - I am wanting to get to work!!!

So while sitting this morning with my uniform on waiting on a phone call to say GO GO GO!!! I managed to make the last of the cards I had been asked to make (hopefully I can start on my own now).  The image is from Magnolia with added Stickles.  The DP are a mixture of DCVW and Papermania.  Princess brads are from stash and snowflakes are Sizzix diecuts.  The challenges covered are:-

Birthday Card

Evening peeps, back with a second post of today, only managed to make one card this afternoon, don't know where the time went.  Never made any of the cards that the girls at work have asked me to make either, oh well, I will be busy in the evenings this week making them. lol.

I coloured Tilda with my watercolour paints (they were an amazing bargain at £2.99 from The Works and they are lasting ages). Flowers I got from Poppicrafts and I can't find them anywhere else so I am trying to use the sparingly.  Gem Brads and sentiment are from stash.  The challenges I have made this for are:-

Baza excelled myself today by making the tea - homemade lasagna, baked tattie with butter, coleslaw, sweetcorn and garlic bread - yum, yum, yum!!!!!  best dinner I have had in ages (sitting here typing this with top button of trousers out as I am so stuffed...lol)  He even did the washing-up as well.  He must be after some-thing so I shall keep you peeps posted with what it is ............... me thinks it is either for a new TV or a holiday...lol.

Santa Card

Evening everyone, I feel I have been away from blogland for ages, just been a bit busy with other things, so I apologise and will catch up with you all.  I have had a little play as Lisa at work gave me another card order to work on, she keeps me busy........lol.  Still to do mine and need to post most of them as well.

Santa is from Magnolia & coloured with watercolour paints.  All the bits and pieces are made from scraps and stash.  The challenges I have combined in this card are:-
I am starting to pull my hair out in panic over Christmas - so not organised.  Why are some people so hard to buy for????  I have only got two more days off before the big day and the pressure is on........lol

Sophisticats, Charisma Cardz & Magnolia Down Under Challenges

Hello again ladies, twice in one day - not bad at all........lol.  This is a Christmas card made using the challenges over at Sophisticat's - "Wings" and Charisma Cardz - "Merry & Bright" and the sketch at Magnolia Down Under.

I love Edwin Snowman and I 3d him on embossed card.  Backing paper is from DCVW, I think, and the embossing folders used are from Cuttlebug and they are Swirls and Snowflakes.  The snowflakes are a mixtures of diecuts, brads and confetti.

Heading back up to my table to play while Barry is lying on the couch as he has a bit of a sniffle (aka man flu) - bless.........lol.

Just Magnolia

Morning all! Can't believe it! - my chance of a long lie in and Ting! - wide awake. So I thought I might as well get up. I have started at my table and already my back is sore - boo hiss! That's me tried every chair in the house now so I will have to put it down to the table's fault!....lol.
Managed so far to do a card for the challenge over at Just Magnolia, it is a lovely sketch by Bev. One of my friend's little girls will be 2 next month so I thought I would try and be a bit organised.

Will be back later.

Just Magnolia & One Stop Craft

Sun is shining this morning but I have got my sleepy head on. Jazz, one of my puddy cats was partying out late last night. Could not get him in 'til after 2am - the wee ratbag!!!! He was playing 'chase me, chase me' in the garden when it was bucketing of rain....lol. He is sleeping upstairs just now - have got a good mind to get the hoover out as payback!....lol.
It took me a while to think of how and what to do for Just Magnolia - 'Get in shape' as I always do square or rectangle cards so out came the Nestibilities.

I do love this image and I have been desperate to use her and you never know I might end up going to night school so this card could come in handy...lol.
One Stop Craft Challenge is create 'Vintage'. So to me that meant blue & brown (I told you all I have no imagination)

I have used some new papers I got from K & Co. Journey's Life collection. I chalked around the image and then inked the edges. Little slogans & broom broom is from stash.
Away now to do a incy-wincy bit of housework and then to my table to PLAY!!!!!!

Creeping In..........Hello everyone

Sorry I haven't been on for a long time, I seem to have had a bit of a hectic week or so (either that or I have been abducted by aliens...lol).
You don't have any nights out for as long and then they all come along at once. I went to the local Italian for a meal with the girls from work, unfortunately the waiters aren't the kind that swoo you off your feet, for starters one of them is Spanish and another Greek/Croatian (yeah, work that one out!) so they didn't have the usual Italian patter and secondly they are a bit......emm....mature if you catch my drift. Nevertheless, the food is amazing and lets face it, that is why I was there.....lol. Then the following night, Baza's Football Supporter's Club had a fun raising night at a local hotel where his nephew was playing in his band. They did really well but I did feel a bit out of place with all the "groupies" there, really felt my age plus I didn't know half the songs they played...lol. Came home with a sore head... Gosh really showing my age now!!.. Then, the following day it was my Birthday!... so I had a lovely day, apart from working, but I got a red neck, that Baza sent me flowers at work....well....my face was scarlet when the delivery guy handed me them right in front of the customers - total beamer!
Baza & me don't do birthdays, we do "Birthday Weeks" so most of this week I have been pigging out on takeaways and having one or two extra glasses for wine. It is also meant that I am to be waited on hand & foot but somehow that didn't happen to much this year - don't know if maybe I had been too demanding....lol....peel my a grape....fan me down......do the the washing, ironing, hoovering, dusting, tidying, polished, gardening (if only that part was true...lol)
So hopefully this is me starting to get back into some sort of routine again. This evening I have managed to make a card for the Just Magnolia challenge. The theme is Pink & Green so hopefully I have managed that.
I have popped the Tilda image onto a couple flowers from Poppicrafts, diecut swirlies from Nestibilities and the backing paper is from the Fantasy Range from Dovecraft.
