A Gorjuss Birthday

Good afternoon peeps... Hope all is well with everyone.   Well,  it is nearly another year over and I wish all mu Blogland friends a very Happy New year and I hope 2014 is kind to you all.

In true Hogmany tradition, the house has been cleaned from top to bottom ready to bring the New Year in, not that I will probably see the bells ...lol...  I am usually in bed by then ..lol..  But I usually get back up to watch the fireworks from Stirling Castle as I can see them from my bedroom window.

I know that I failed miserably with my News years resolution of this year of blogging more -  so I am setting myself the came resolution for 2014.

Yesterday I had some spare time between visiting and visitors so I had a wee play at my table.  The image one of the older Gorjuss girls from Funky kits,  the diecut sentiment is from docrafts.  Papers were free from a magazine and the flowers and card candi are from craft stash.  The challenges covered are:-

Penny Black Christmas

Evening peeps, hope everyone is safe and well tonight after the horrendous weather in the UK today.   I was caught up in the storm this morning trying to get to Perth,  took me about 4 hours instead of the usual 40 minutes journey.  Was dirverted as there was two fallen trees and an overturned lorry but safe and snug back in the house now.

This hedgie image is from Penny Black.  Designer paper is a freebie from a craft magazine, card is from stash.  I embossed the corrugated card and then distressed inked it.  Ribbon, sentiment diecut, card candi and charm are from craft stash.  Tool used are  a snowflake embossing folder and square Nesties.  The challenges covered are:-

Good afternoon all, no, I have not fallen off the face of the earth, or been abducted by aliens...lol... Just been a wee bit busy with other things.  I am off on holiday from work this week so I shall have time for a little play in between jobs that need doing.

For this card I have used my favourite Santa stamp.  Backing papers are a mixture of foiled vellum, material and sequin waste all out of stash.  The holly leaves and berries are from Wild Orchid crafts.  The challenges covered are:-

Good evening all, apologises for not been being blogging for a while, don't know where my spare time goes sometimes - well, that's actually a lie - Candy Crush has a lot to answer for! ....lol..

This is a commissioned card someone had answered me to do while doing one of our charity craft stalls the other week.  The triplets were due to be born that week and she knew that 2 girls and 1 boy would be entering our world.

This image is from High Hopes and my very first attempt of colouring with my new spectrum noir pens.  I have used various embossing folders and Nesties.  Ribbon, gems and duck brads are from craft stash.  The challenges covered are:-

Take it Easy

A lovely sunny Sunday morning to you lovely peeps.  The farmers have been working all through the day and night bringing in the harvest.  It was actually quite therapeutic listening to the harvesters working away in my bed.  Barry MADE me go shopping yesterday - boo, I didn't buy anything, he managed to get himself a top and then we went for a cheeky wee bar lunch.

A lovely CAS card to start the weekend following the sketch from Sketch & Stash, stash being the sentiment and ribbon.  The image I am not sure if it is a Penny Black or Forever Friends.  Tools used are my Swiss Dots embossing folder and rectangle Nesties.  The challenges covered this morning are:-

Run rabbit, run rabbit, run run run

Evening peeps, apologises for not being on recently, my neck and shoulders are playing up again so it is hard to get in the mood to create.  I had made this card at the weekend for my Auntie, she had kindly knitted and donated some bunny rabbits and a scarecrow to The Brionni Trust for us to sell on our stall.  The cute wee bunnies she had done gave me the inspiration for this card, so I dug out my Sugar Nellies stamps and hunted for this image.  The backing paper is a freebie from a magazine.  The picket fence is a diecut from Marieanne Creatables (there is a different story .... lol..). Tools used are my oval scalloped Nesties and Swiss dots embossing folder.  The challenges covered are:-

Seashell Sanctuary

Afternoon peeps, sneaking on again today - shhhh! Don't tell you know you ...lol .... Now it was just yesterday that I spoke about me being a wee bit accident prone and so far it had been a non eventful year in that sense...well .... I spoke to soon ... This morning I noticed that the tiny tear in the kitchen limo had got a bit bigger and putting my DIY hat on thought I had nothing better to do than "fix it". My bright idea was to glue it down flat and that would be problem solved .... not quite, I forgot how quickly super glue works and so very nearly, and I mean very nearly stuck myself to the tube and the limo.  Now the floor has a ripple it! ....lol ..... my finger tips feel so weird with a rough layer of glue on them ...lol.

These clear shell stamps are in my stash but not sure who they are from.  The corrugated card is from scrap drawer and the string, seashells and charm out of my stash.  The challenges covered are:-

And for the peeps that know me all too well, I have had another accident prove moment, I went to put my feet up on the reclining chair in the living room and it broke!  Oops .... That's not bad, I think this the first item I have broke in 2013 ....lol..

Pretty in Pink

Afternoon peeps.  Having a lazy day today, enjoying the sunshine and the golf.  Had a sharp awaking this morning, Woody, our youngest cat, brought into the house at around 6am, a mouse, he then preceded to drop it down in the middle of the living room floor, watch it scurry away in the corner, then turn rounded and toddled off back outside leaving Barry and I hunting for this mouse - which we still haven't found!

While keeping one eye on the telly watching the golf and the the eye looking out for the mouse, I have managed to make this easel card using a fabby Gorjuss Girl from Sugar Nellie.  The sentiment I have discovered is from Docrafts which I have ink chalked round the edge. The majority of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Tools used are my Martha Stewart border punch, rectangle Nesties and my Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The challenges entered today are:-

Golfer Anniversary

Afternoon peeps, back here with my second post of today. I am with my lovely friend lesley having a wee craft-a-thon and a bleather. We are going to see who can create and blog the most, I think she will end up winning as I so will be on the red wine ...lol..

This flabby cheeky golfer image is from High Hopes, the backing papers are a mixture of scraps and freebie papers out of crafty magazines. Tools used are my circle Nesties and my Swiss dots embossing folder. The challenges covered are:-
