Pretty in Pink

Evening peeps from a Snowy Scotland .... lol...  two days are never the same weather wise, thank goodness it is just lying on the hills here as I hate driving in it.  It has been a quite day here but later we are having Barry's mum for dinner and then venturing out to the b-i-n-g-o,  should be fun and I have my dabber at the ready ...lol..

This is a stamp I treated myself to from Hobbycrafts on a recent visit.  The pink gingham paper is from my scrapdrawer (still ever overflowing ...lol).  Tools used were my circle Nesties & Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The challenges covered are:-
Hope you are all having a great weekend.

Spring has Sprung!

Morning peeps and a very happy Spring to you all.  We have been so, so lucky this week with this glorious weather, shame I was at work, but what a difference it does make to your day.  But as always, all good things must come to an end as it is going to turn next week, we are expecting snow this coming Monday/Tuesday!! Back to normal for us here then - Jumpers and Wellies ...lol...

Sorry I have blogged as of late due to a mixture of computer hiccups and we, at the Charity have been busy making some gorgeous wedding invites for a lovely couple's big day in June.

I have a few commissioned cards to do as well and I shall share them with your good selves as I do the and I should be getting creative again and start experimenting with some new toys I have acquired.  They have been shouting out from the corner of the room for months "Play with me!"

This is one of the commissioned cards.  It has been years since I have done an Easter card, so I really had to get my thinking cap on.  I remenbered I had an old Sizzix Cross embossing folder somewhere so I hunted it out from the cupboard.  Other tools used was my Swiss Dots embossing folder, diecut swirls and Leaf Punch.  From stash was Card Candy, ribbon,  flowers and gemstones.  The challenges covered are:-

Clean & Simple Xmas

Good afternoon peeps, hope all in well in Blogland and you all are enjoying your weekend whatever you are up to.  I have had peace and quiet today with Barry being at the Golf and then headed off to the football.   I am out with the Girlies this evening to a Take That Tribute night - should be great fun as this will be the third time we have seen them.   A bit of a sore head has been booked for tomorrow and a day on the sofa.... so I am trying to cram in as much crafting today..lol.

Just a quick card to show you today.  The embossing folder is one I picked up off the internet so not sure who makes it.  Silver buckle is from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Embossed ribbon is from Papermania with gems and sentiment from stash.  The challenges covered are:-

....... I'm afraid that is about my limit of my French.  I am hopeless at learning languages, it literally goes in one ear and out the other!! ...lol.  We are heading to Greece for our holidays in a few weeks time and the phrase book comes with me every time as I can never remember the basics from one year to the next.

The Gorjuss Girl image is from Sugar Nellie, coloured with watercolour paints.  The Designer Paper is from K & Co.  The Eiffel Tower & suitcase diecuts are from stash, as are the camera brad and air mail stamp.  Sentiment circle stamp is from Lili of the Valley.  Tools used were my new Marianne Creations diecuts.  The challenges covered are:-

Anniversary Card

Good evening peeps, hope all is well in Blogland and all enjoying the weekend.  It is another soggy one here I'm afraid.  The road nearby is closed yet again due to flooding -  fingers crossed the rain stops soon or I will have to start building myself an ark!! ...lol.

The card is quite a clean & simple one using embossing folders.  The silver hearts are Sizlits diecuts with a wee black pearl on each.  I decorated the silver heart buckle with black Stickles.  Also used are my Oval Nesties, silver numbered peel-offs and silver ribbon.  The challenges covered are:-
Off now upstairs to get comfy in my new bed that got delivered this afternoon - is seems huge compared to the old one.  Me thinks I need a step ladder to get into this one...lol.......... night!! xxx

Male Card

Afternoon peeps, sorry I have not been on for a while, just not had chance to be honest.  Hopefully I can make it up today as I am planning a little play at my table and fingers crossed I can be more productive than I was last week.

It is male card madness in my family over the next few months so I am trying to be ahead of myself.  The decoupage sheet of cars I got at the SECC Craft fair back in October but I don't know which stall.  The rest of bits of card, ie,  Silver Card Candy, sentiment and black peel-offs are from stash.  The challenges covers are:-

One Idea - Two Cards

Good evening to my lovely followers.  Sorry I have not been on for a couple of days.  Full of good intentions, but never managed to get to the dining room table to play!!!  I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  I was playing nurse maid to Barry who had "Man-Flu", and I discovered yet again, I have not got the right patience for being a nurse ....lol .... I will have to teach myself tolerance ... how do I do that??? .. lol.

So to help compensate my lack of TLC, I let Barry take me shopping (yes, he was well enough to do that!!!)......and gasp!! ...... I know, I must have been feeling really REALLY guilty for me to go to the shops ... and what did we come back back with ......... a new bed!! ......... if Baza had his way, it would have been one of those fancy electric adjustable ones with the flip-up TV screen in the footrest... lol.

My one idea over the weekend was to make to use one of my many Sizzix dies that of late have been left abandoned in a box under the stairs since I have fallen in love with rubber stamping and try and create something with them and here are the results.....

Along with the Sizzix House die, I have used 2 Cuttlebug embossing folders (Swiss Dots and another).  Design paper from scrap pile.  Ribbon, brad and charm from stash.  Circle stamped sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.  The challenges covered on this card are:-

This card has been made similar - but different (if that makes any sense!!!) I was trying to make it look more masculine by not using any DP's and using straight lines instead of any curves.  The ribbon and sentiments are from stash.  The challenges covered on this card are:-

Baby Boy Card

Good evening to you lovely peeps.  It has been my last day of my holidays and I have had the chore of taking down the Christmas decorations and moving everything back to their normal places - now it looks so bare!!!!  plus, I have realised that I seriously need to do some painting/DIY downstairs...lol.  Back to work tomorrow and would you believe it - a local weather warning for snow & ice is in place!!!  Arrrrrrgh!!! Thought we had seen the back of that white stuff for a least a few more weeks...pants!

Anyway, back to nicer things.....  The image is just too cute, he is from Lili of the Valley.  Check paper from scrap drawer (have been trying to use these scraps up but they are never ending... does everyone have the same problem?) and  ...... YES ....... a Cuttlebug embossing folder used.  Ribbon and plastic tab thingy from stash.  The challenges covered are:-
