New Challenge Blog - Winter Wonderland

What a better way to cool yourself down in this warm weather than to create a Christmas Card! There is a fantastic new challenge Blog started today - Winter Wonderland - with some brilliant DT work so pop over and check it out!!!!
The first challenge is "Oh Christmas Tree", I hurriedly started to rummage through my stash and to my surprise I have hardly anything at all with a Christmas tree.

I have ended up using an Anita's dimension sticker and matted and layered it onto lots of Nestie ovals and Backing paper is from Papermania. I have used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to give it some more texture and I sat on my hands before I added a snowflake - which I have a fetish about...lol.
Away now for an Ice Cream..........lol

Stamp with Fun #8

A lovely morning to you all. I can't believe how good the weather is and BOO HISS I am back to work tomorrow, just as I am getting used to the good life......lol
Hoping to sit out in the garden soon but I have a couple of cards to make for the girls at work so I will pop in & out the sun and do a bit here & there. Here is one so far, it is for someone who loves shopping & Sex in the City, I used the fantastic sketch created by Nikki over at Stamp for Fun.

I thought that this little Miss Anya stamp was a bit like SJP. The shoes, bags & saying stamp are from Dovecraft and I got them for 99p - bargain.
Well, I away to get some rays again before starting on the next one. Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Stamptacular Sunday, Forever Friends & Simon Says Challenges

A wonderful glorious afternoon to you all. I have just come in from the garden after spending some time enjoying the wonderful sunshine and now I have changed colour from the normally pale blue to a light pink!..
These are some challenges I made yesterday and just getting round to blogging now. Over at Stamptacular Sunday the theme was 'Chocolate' and I must admit that I have used the DT idea of making chocolate bags as I am always thinking of different ideas for our charity stall at Christmas & have used this as a prototype, hope you don't mind.

N.B. There was not harm to any reindeers in the making of this poo........lol.
The next challenge I attempted was over at Forever Friends - 'Buttons & Bows'.

I used one of the lovely decoupaged sets & popped a pink bow on the top. Papers from stash and I used a Cuttlebug embossing border.
And lastly I had a go over at Simon Says..............Animals. I have made this for my boss whose house myself & my work buddies are going to tonight for a wee drinkie, pizza and a beetle drive. It is years and years since I have been to one so I hope I cam remember how to play and shake those dice!!!!!!!!.

I used a Penny Black image, papers from Papermania and flowers from stash.
Off now to catch the last couple of rays of the evening before I head out.

Stamp Something Friday - Sketch

Popping another one on for this evening. Decided I am best to put a picture of the sketch from Stamp Something Friday that I am supposed to be following instead of you having to be a bit of a clairvoyant ...lol.

I think the image is from Ellze belles, but don't quote me on that, don't want a slapped hand from Trading Standards....lol. Backing paper from Papermania and the old faithful Nestibilities came into play again.......lol.

Colour Create - Lemon, Pink Sorbet & Chocolate

This is just a wee short post this evening as the footie is on (Man U v Barcelona) so watching and crafting at the same time. The colour theme over at Colour Create had me licking my lips when I read it and inspired me to have a pudding...chocolate sponge & ice cream......yum...lol.

The lovely bear image is from Sugar Nellie's Homegrown range. Papers are from DCWV Spring Stack. I have tried to do the Shabby-Chic part my ripping the paper and put image & sentiment at a jonty angle...lol.

Just Magnolia & One Stop Craft

Sun is shining this morning but I have got my sleepy head on. Jazz, one of my puddy cats was partying out late last night. Could not get him in 'til after 2am - the wee ratbag!!!! He was playing 'chase me, chase me' in the garden when it was bucketing of rain....lol. He is sleeping upstairs just now - have got a good mind to get the hoover out as payback!....lol.
It took me a while to think of how and what to do for Just Magnolia - 'Get in shape' as I always do square or rectangle cards so out came the Nestibilities.

I do love this image and I have been desperate to use her and you never know I might end up going to night school so this card could come in handy...lol.
One Stop Craft Challenge is create 'Vintage'. So to me that meant blue & brown (I told you all I have no imagination)

I have used some new papers I got from K & Co. Journey's Life collection. I chalked around the image and then inked the edges. Little slogans & broom broom is from stash.
Away now to do a incy-wincy bit of housework and then to my table to PLAY!!!!!!

Rainbow Lady - B & W with a Silhouette

Back again, you lot feel like you are getting Da-Ja-Vu with the amount of times I have been on & off today.......lol. Thought I would have a little attempt of the challenge over at Rainbow Lady, feels strange doing a stamped image in a silhouette style. The backing papers are from DCWV and ribbon and peel off sentiments are from stash. Hopefully back later later tea. Cuddles Kaza.xxx

Secret Crafter - New Beginnings

Back again, this time with a Baby Boy card for the challenge over at Secret Crafter - "New Beginnings", which was quite handy for me to make for Louise's baby card. I have used a Penny Black bear stamp which I have had for a wee whiley now but never used - shame on me!....lol. Just used scraps of paper from my box and sentiment & brad buttons from my stash. Off now to try and get another card done before Baza gets in from work and wants his dinner on the table - huh! - if it doesn't take 3 minutes & goes 'ping!' then he has no chance!...Plus, Lesley, over at Pinkles Dreams has set us both a craft-a-thon challenge to cram in as much cardmaking as possible as we are both off this week. I think at the moment I am slightly ahead, but I don't decorate the insides so I say we must be eeksy-peeps! Speak soon Cuddles Kaza.xxx

Spoon Full of Sugar's 1st Blog-versity Celebration

Over at Spoon full of Sugar they are celebrating their 1st Birthday. To commemorate this they are giving away some fantastic prizes on this week's challenge - "Celebration" so pop across and check it out! Hope I have just managed to sneak in before the deadline......
I thought I would do a celebration of a marriage and so far today I am into pink. Used papers from my stash and my Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Penny Black - Buttons Galore

Good morning, hope you are all well and enjoying your Bank Holiday Monday. It is not very glorious here, quite dull so I'm best not putting the washing out just yet.....lol. Louise, at the work, is still holding onto her bump, she is due the 6th June but somehow I feel she will not last that long so I thought I better make a start on a card for them. The challenge over at Penny Black Saturday is "Buttons Galore". I think this is the most used PB stamp I have got. It is so cute. Backing paper is from the Craft Fayre a while ago. I couldn't believe that in my stash I didn't have any pink buttons (will have to fix that later with a trip to my local craft shop...lol) so I hope my button brads count. Off to make a baby boy's card now - edging my bets just in case...lol Cuddles Kaza. xxx

Cute Card & Dutch Dare

Am I on a roll or what!....lol. Proberly peeked too soon....lol. Back with another 2 cards for challenges. It is amazing what you can get done when the footie is on....
Over a Cute Card Thursday - "Is a Sporting Chance", seems quite apt today with the footie, golf, car racing on the box - if you can't bet them, join them....

So have done a male card using a wee cheeky Forever Friends Sticker. They really are quite handy a quick card and they are just so cute. The trophy is made with a Sizzix diecut. Backing paper are scraps from my drawer.
Dutch Dare is "Bling, bling/Glitter", and I just could not refuse using Dressing-up Maggie. She must be my ultimate favourite stamp.

I have used my Silver Stickles to make her sparkle. These nestabilities are a god send when making these squares. Backing papers used were from the English Paper Co.
Hopefully back later with some more):.

Holiday Mojo has Arrived - 2 challenges

Good afternoon everyone. Hope everyone is enjoying their Bank Holiday Weekend, unfortunately it doesn't seem to be a holiday up here in Scotland, however I am official off on holiday for a week - Yee Ha!!!. Not that I am going anywhere, Barry is working so therefore I am home alone - to Play!!!!. I've told El Baza that I will be really really busy about the house doing springy cleaning things...lol.......might just shove it all in the cupboard instead....
So I have started my Sunday with a couple of challenges to brake me in gently..... Charisma Cardz challenge is "Flowers, Lace & Pearls".

I have used a lovely image by Elizabeth Bell from Sugar Nellie. Flowers & Pearl Brads are from stash and Backing Papers are from Laura Ashley & The English Paper Co. The closest I had to lace is Florist ribbon so I hope that counts...lol.
The my other card I have done is for Daring Cardmakers - "Wet, Wet, Wet" Well, my heart skipped a beat at first when I saw this as I immediately flashed back to my youth and Marti Pellow - Woar!. So during the making of this card I continually sung/hummed to myself "Sweet Little Mystery"...lol.......somehow my version didn't give it justice...lol...especially the 'da da dom' bits where I had forgotten the words...lol

The Maggie image from Sugar Nellie has been wonderfully coloured in by Lesley again with her Pro-markers. Backing papers is from a Forever Friends Decoupage Set. Ribbon and sentiments are from stash.
Back to my table to finish off 2 more cards.

Diggin' the Dancing Queen......

You can dance, you can sin-g, having the time of your life...................Oooooo.
Hope everyone has had a good weekend and watched the Eurovision Song Contest - I missed it! I was out on the tiles for a change, usually I watch the national constitution so I sky+ it instead but fell asleep watching it when I can home in the early hours. Was suffering yesterday with a slight sore head.
One of the girls at work has asked me a do a card for her niece's 18th birthday who loves music so I was over the moon when I saw the challenge over at Daring Cardmakers - "Sound of Music".

Sorry that my photographic skills are hopeless when taking snaps of shiny things!...lol. Used the lovely Miss Anya coloured with my watercolour pencils. Backing paper is from the Daisy & Dandelion Picnic packs papers, and musical notes are cut from a Sizzixlet.

Minimal - Creative Card Crew

A very good evening to everyone. The sun has been splitting the skys today but a very chilly wind has been gusting around ya cockles...lol. I expect the weather will turn by Sunday 'coz that's when I'm off..lol.
Just the one card today. I had been asked to make a Get Well Card for one of our customers who has had a stroke, bless him, he is such a lovely chap so the pressure has been on to make it!. I have been racking my brains what to do and eventually I came up with the following. It has tied in nicely to the challenge that the delightful Joey has set over at Creative Card Crew - "Minimal". Don't know if I have made it too sparse though!.

I don't know what I used to do before embossing folders! I think they must be one of my lifelines in my craft box nowadays. Nothing much else to say - lol.

Cute Card Thursday

Evening all peeps. Hope all is well in Blogland. Just a short post tonight as I'm heading to bed to get my beauty sleep - and boy - I need alot of that!!!.
Over at Cute Card Thursday - is "Happy Mail" - Create a card to cheer someone up or make their day! It is on behalf of postpals, they invite members of the public to log on from around the world and send a card to a child. The aim is to make the child smile. I had never heard of them before but such a worthwhile cause & I shall be sending more in the future.
I couldn't resist using one of my Gorjuss Girls from Sugar Nellie. She is such a sweetie. I coloured her in using my watercolour pencils and paints from the Works.
Well I'm away to bed now and looking forward to some sweet dreams - (managed to get tickets to see Take That at Hamden Park next month).........whayyyy!!!!!!

3 Challenges this afternoon

Good evening everyone. Sorry I have not been on for a couple of days but for a change I have had a social life.......lol. I've been visiting a couple of friends during the week and then yesterday I was giving a friend a helping hand at her daughters birthday "pamper" party. Last night I went out for a super meal at our local Mexican restaurant, it was delicious.....mmmm..... I could eat it all again just now....lol.
I have to thank all those lovely blogger friends who have been so kind lately and nominated little old me for a few awards......THANK YOU......... I will be putting them on my blog with pride. XXX.
This afternoon I have had a chance to play and have done a few challenges and trying to catch-up on what everyone else has been up to.......naughty and nice.....lol........so to the challenges.....
This first card is for Stamp with Fun, the challenge this week was to create a 10.5 x 5.8 inch card. (I think/hope that's the same as a DL card 'coz that's what I've made...lol).

I decided to make a Christmas Card to help buildup my stash. The image is a Sugar Nellie home grown snowman coloured beautifully by Lesley and her magic Pro-makers (its amazing what a bribe of homemade chilli can do...lol).
***
Over at the Creative Card Crew Blog the challenge is it incorporate some sort of "embossing".
I used my Cuttlebug Swirl folder for this, the image is Lola from Sugar Nellie. The Backing Paper I just love, it's from the Picnic Patch from Daisy and Dandelion, my only disappointment is you only get one sheet of each paper - boo hiss.......lol.
***
Finally, my last challenge I attempted was Rainbow Lady's, she challenged us to create using a "frame".
Again my cooking (well really Baza's - I burn everything) has become my saviour as Lesley coloured this image for me with her bionic pens. It is an Elizabeth Bell design from Sugar Nellie. I used a frame I have had in my stash for yonks and yonks.
That's it for now folks and I'm gonna go blog-hopping.

Secret Crafter

Rain rain go away come again another day! Makes you get a bad hair day, so today at lunchtime I popped into the hairdresser's and booked an appointment for Saturday morning - I'm gonna get it all chopped off!!! New style - new woman.
Louise, at the work, loved her card I made her and already she has decorated most of the rooms in her new house. Not her personally, I might add, she was doing the supervising. With the bump as big as she has the most she can do just now is dunk a biscuit in her tea!
She finishes up work at the end of the week so with that in mind I have made her a wee card to wish her luck. I have incorporated the challenge over at Secret Crafter - "flowers".
I used a template that someone has kind enough to email me some time ago. The Black/White papers are from DCWV and the teal one is from the Clare Curd Papermania Range. I used black stickles in the flowers as centres. The ribbon is the same colour but in the photo its morphed into another...lol.
Hope everyone is having a good evening & speak soon.

Ho Ho Ho - Friday Sketchers & Cute Card

Evening all folks. Don't know what's been wrong with me today - think I have been time-warped by 6 months as it seems the Festive Season has hit this house!.
My 2 cards I have created this evening are Christmas, my dessert for my tea was a delicious Christmas Pudding with Ice Cream and the dear Baza here is hinting ever so subtly what he wants for birthday/Xmas by showing me it on the Internet & even popping it in his online basket(wishlist). He will he have to be a very good boy from now to then.
I loved doing the sketch at Friday Sketchers because I have had this image laying around for ages and I have Been desparate to use it.

The Backing Paper is from Papermania and I used my clear Stickles to bring sparkle to the fur.
The challenge over at Cute Card Thursday was "Mirror Mirror". I immediately thought of Sleeping Beauty and the wicked witch but seeing that I never had either I stuck with making another Crimbo card.

The image I think is Millie from Pink Gem, again I Stickles the image with clear and Silver. I used grey mirror card for the snowflake but doesn't seem to show up very well in the photo.
Well I'm away now just to double-check my calender......lol.

Truly Scumptious Challenge

Morning everyone. Here I am up bright and early, done all my wee jobs around the house apart the garden 'coz it is a bit cloudy and windy here today. Typical, Bank Holiday Monday and the weather is pants!...lol.
I am home alone today so I trying to get all my birthday cards done for the month plus the Charity has the first event of the year on Saturday 16th so I am trying to do some more cards for the stall for them to sell. It is being held in a local village hall, unfortunately I am having to be at my own work so making cards is my little contribution this time.
Started this morning doing the sketch over at Truly Scrumptious with the theme "Something to eat". I have cheekily used an Tilda image coloured by the lovely Lesley with her magic Pro-markers, she keeps trying to get me to buy them - not tempted at the mo - but never say never!

I have just used up some paper scraps and embossed them with various Cuttlebug folders. Brads and parcel embellie is from stash.

Busy Bee Me - 2 More Challenges

Well, the football has now finished and Baza is onto the Nascar now (boo hiss - much prefer F1 if I have to watch any motor racing) Managed to make the Sunday Dinner without burning anything -Yeah! and my cheeks are a little flushed with the red wine I have been sipping this afternoon...lol
Blogging these two cards and then I am gonna catch up with all you crazy lot to see what you have been up to. The first one is for Stamp with Stampavie which was a sketch. Made this for one of my gorgeous nieces whose birthday is later on this month.

These Sugar Nellie designs are growing on me more & more, didn't like them at first at all. The wooden flowers I have had for yonks but can't remember where I got them. I tried to glitter up the image by popping clear stickles on the wings and the WISH.
The next card I have created is for one of my friend's birthday this month - Gosh, I have alot of birthdays this month - and I used the challenge over at Spoon Full of Sugar - Green & Blue.
I have had these mega-flowers for ages, they are huge, but they seem to fit fine on this A5 size card. A little Gorjuss Girl again and the Backing Paper is from the Clare Curd range from Papermania.
I'm away now for some snooping on your blogs and a bit more wine....lol. Cuddles Kaza.xxx

Creative Card Crew

Afternoon peeps. Still enjoying my Sunny Sunday, should really be taken time out in the garden as I have flowers to plant, but I just want to play instead and there is always tomorrow!.
I have done this card for the challenge across at Creative Card Crew, it is a lovely sketch. The card is for one of my friend's little girl, Erin. She hits double figures, 10, on Tuesday and she is a right wee girlie girl so I thought a Gorjuss Girl is right up her street.
I think at the moment she is my favourite Gorjuss Girl, but that could easily change by the end of the day.

Stamp with Fun

A very good morning to everyone and a warm welcome to my new followers. I full appreciate everyone taking some of your precious time out to visit little old me and your kind words and comments are very much welcomed.
I hope everyone is well. I am enjoying the sunshine and the peace and quiet and got my sounds on. Baza is on the golf course at the mo but due in soon so my bubble will be shattered .....huff......lol. Never mind I can sit at my table and play while the footie is on the TV. Secretly I quite like watching the footie - but don't tell Baza that! - or my fun will be spoilt when I pretend to not know the players or the rules and then to proceed to ask really stupid questions that wynds him up - hey, I've got to get my kicks someway!...lol.
I have started today with a little sketch from Stamp with Fun. Louise at the work got her keys for her house on Friday there, so this is a little card for her. Also she is expected her baby in a couple of weeks time so it's all action stations just now for little Lou!. She is such a sweet girl.......reminds me of myself when I was younger....lol.

I have used a stamp at got at the Papermill Shop - 99p - bargain. Backing paper - I think - is from the English Paper Co. and flower and ribbons are from stash.
