Good morning everyone, well trying to smuggle the sunshine back with me from Rhodes did not work as it is pouring with rain here in Scotland.  Had a wonderful time on the Greek island - will post some pics on  later -  was such a shame it always passes so quick ..... nevermind ... I have a few days left before back to work on Monday - so craft time!!!!

The image is a Manga stamp from Funky Kits given a bit of extra sparkle with Gold & Diamond Stickles, backing papers are from DCVW (I think), big snowflake is from a Marieanne Creations diecut decorated with a pearl brad and the small snowflakes are made by using a X-cut punch.  Velvet black ribbon from stash and sentiment printed off computer.  Other tools used were my Square & Oval Nesties and Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder.  The challenges covered are:-
Here is just a piccie from our balcony, the view was gorgeous and could sit there for hours on end just watching the world go by....

Festive Wishes

A very warm festive wishes to all you fellow bloggers.  Slowly getting back to a wee bit of normality with visitors and visiting duties done (until the New Year and then same again ..lol)  Today is the first relaxing day of my holiday break and what better way to relax is to dig a couple of bits and bobs out the cupboard from under the stairs for a little play at my table.  It seems that long ago that I had to pack everything away and within about two minutes my table is covered....lol.  Never mind, that is part of the fun... lol.

Anyway, I am hoping not to see/make another Christmas Card for at least a few days so I am gonna make a selection of cards over the next coming days while I am off.  This cheery image of sunflowers (sorry do not know where it is from) helps me take my mind off the wintry weather we have been having over the past month - roll on Spring!!! ....hehehe.  The papers are from a Papermania paperpack.  Flower, Brad and sentiment from stash and string from kitchen drawer...lol..  The challenges covered today are:-

Easel Card

Good afternoon, a warm but windy welcome to everyone.  Hope you are all enjoying your weekend, and especially those on a Bank Holiday Weekend.  I haven't been up to much mischief lately (oh, apart from a wee cheeky purchase from Funky Kits...hehehe ..... a couple of stamps just fell into my checkout basket - honestly!) The kind postman delivered them yesterday but I have not had chance to play with them yet.

I have only previously made a few easel cards and I don't know why I don't make more - they are so simple to do.  The bear stamp is from Forever Friends which I have added some stickles to his hat.  The design papers are from a Papermania Christmas paperpack.  The white card is embossed with a snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder and I used my Martha Stewart zig-zag border punch.  Ribbon, holly stalk and sentiments are all from stash.  The challenges for this card are:-

A few challenges

Afternoon ladies. Hope you are all well and having a lovely weekend. I have been given a long weekend off (Sat, Sun & Mon) from work. This is the first time ever & I don't know what I did to deserve it but I am making the most of it. Barry is away to the football to watch his team Dundee play so i am HOME ALONE and it is fab!!!!!
The challenges I have combined in the above card are:- Winter Wonderland - "Hot Chocolate", The Pink Elephant - lovely sketch, Cupcake Craft - "Distressing", Paperplay - "Spot this" and finally Colour Create - Hot Pink, Dusty Pink & Ice Chocolate with the option of pearls & swirls.
I used paper scraps from drawer, chalks for the distressing bit, Cuttlebug Swirl embossing folder and pearls from the Paper Mill. Heading back to the table to play again and hopefully should be back on soon.

Winter Wonderland & Allsorts Challenges

Evening everyone. I can't believe I have not been on for over a week - Bad Kaza - slaps wrist. The week has just flown by and nothing to show for it (apart from a pile of ironing - and that can wait!...lol) So I am going to have a craft-a-thon with myself tonight & all day tomorrow to try and play catch up.
The challenge over at Winter Wonderland is "Vintage" and at Allsorts is it "Snowflakes in September" so I did this little number to cover both.

The image is from papers from stash that I "Nestied", backing paper is from a Laura Ashley range and the diecut letters from a kit from Create & Craft (which the lovely Lesley had given me as a prestie).
Will catch up everyone soon as I have been peeking at everyone but not leaving a calling card.

Winter Wonderland

Ahoy me hearties!!!! I am back from my hollibags and I have serious crafting withdrawals. I have missed you all terribly and will catch with everyone soon, also will pop a few holiday snaps on (when I find the camera as still to unpack!)
Over at Winter Wonderland there is a fantastic sketch to follow with the theme of "Frosty the Snowman" and the Design Team examples, so pop across to check them all out!.

I used the fabby Edwin snowman, I didn't have any swirly things as per sketch so I popped on the "Brrr" cut from my sizzix alphabet. Backing papers I think are Papermania, brads from stash and sentiment is printed off computer.
Heading back to my table with gusto!!!!!

....and so I'm back - from outer space........

And it feels like I have been abducted by aliens recently. Time has seemed to evaporated, can't believe the length of time been away from blog land. Laptop has been on the the blink so it is away been fixed so I am on the "Blue Monster" up the stairs and it takes me an eternity to do anything on this. Done a couple of cards and have been a smartypants and included quite a few challenges (luck more than anything else).
Used papers from the English Paper Company, Stamp is Forever Friends, Cuttlebug Christmas Embossing Folder, rest from stash.

Couldn't resist using a Miss Anya today. Backing paper is from the Clare Curd range from Papermania, again rest from stash.
Hopefully popping on again later.

Winter Wonderland, Allsorts & Stamptacular Sunday

Evening everyone and a special welcome to a couple of new followers - Hello!!!!. Not been up to much so far this week, found it quite hard to sit at my table 'coz of a sore back, brought the computer chair down from the spare room but that didn't help and then Baza brought home a chair that one of this work fellows was throwing out but unfortunately it hasn't helped either. Might have it ask Baza for a back massage.........lol.........rather have a fish supper!!!.....lol.
Back to the challenges, managed again to do a 2 in 1 card. Winter Wonderland is "Let it Snow" and Allsorts is Triangles.

Painted Milly with Snowman and added a little sparkle with some silver Stickles. Backing papers are from Papermania and finished off with a giant snowflake.
Since it is Fathers Day coming up on Sunday and I will be away to see Gary and the boys (hasn't quite sure if I had mentioned Take That - Hamden - Sunday......lol) I thought I better make a card for Baza from the cats Onyx & Jazz. Luckily for me Stamptacular Sunday's challenge is "Fathers Day" .

I cheated a little bit by using a stickeroo from Penny Black as it had the No.1 rosette. Backing paper from the DCWV Cat Scrap booking Kit as is the 2 cat stickers I used for the inside as they similar to my 2 fur balls I have at home.

Winter Wonderland

A very good sunny morning to everyone. Day off today and hoping to play, play, play......lol. Finished this card last night for the challenge over at Winter Wonderland - the theme is Christmas Carol. I decided upon "While Shepherds Flocked" and while humming and singing along to slightly altered wording to the original I managed not to get into character by popping a tea towel on me heid........lol.I just love this image from Penny Black and I have coloured it with my paints from The Works (they were such a bargain at £2.99 and I use them all the time and they are lasting ages & ages). Just off to do a couples of wee jobs about the house and then back for more........ See you all soon. Hugs Kaza.xxx

New Challenge Blog - Winter Wonderland

What a better way to cool yourself down in this warm weather than to create a Christmas Card! There is a fantastic new challenge Blog started today - Winter Wonderland - with some brilliant DT work so pop over and check it out!!!!
The first challenge is "Oh Christmas Tree", I hurriedly started to rummage through my stash and to my surprise I have hardly anything at all with a Christmas tree.

I have ended up using an Anita's dimension sticker and matted and layered it onto lots of Nestie ovals and Backing paper is from Papermania. I have used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to give it some more texture and I sat on my hands before I added a snowflake - which I have a fetish about...lol.
Away now for an Ice Cream..........lol
