Baby Girl Card

Back again with another card. This time using a Forever Friends image.  The little ducks are brads which I have had for ages in my stash.  Wording is pink peel-offs which again I have had for yonks and yonks.

One of the girls at my work is finishing up on Friday to have a baby which is due next month so I thought I'd make a start on a couple of cards, will have a make a boy's one too.........lol.  Talking about work, I am so enjoying my new job.  The people are so friendly and I am finding it really interesting learning about the different fire appliances.  Also we have been having bar lunches, tea breaks and one or two cakes........... lol..... will have to get a size bigger uniform already...lol

3 in 1 challenge card

Evening peeps - hope you are all surviving this awful weather, no snow here now but loads & loads of puddles on the ground that I managed to stand in this morning!!! .... lol ... had frozen toes all day (didn't help I had holes in my pop-socks!!! lol).

I did this card last night playing with my new leaf punch - be warned - you will probably see this on quite a more cards in the future... lol ... you will be sick of the sight of leaves by the time I have finished... lol.  The challenges I was used in this card are:-

The Forever Friends images are stickers and the DP is also FF.  Flowers, pearls, gems are from stash - and did I mention I used my new leaf punch .....lol..

SophistiCats & Simon Says......

Morning my lovely friends, just creeping on with a little card I made last night before I head off to work (Boo hiss).  This is for the challenges at SophistiCats - "Love" and across at Simon Says.... - a photo inspiration challenge.

The Rose backing paper is from DCVW (surprise, surprise lol).  The stamp, I think, is an Anita's stamp, which I put 3D glaze on it.  Also went a bit OTT with my black inking around the edges (red wine effect lol) and popped on some silver card candys on the corner.

Froggies, Hedgies & Hearts!!!

Hello everyone in Blogland, hope all is well.  My peace and quiet was shattered last night as Barry's football match was cancelled, plus Lesley & Ellie came for their dinner - but tonight however - I'm Free!!!   I am doing to do a bit of blogging and hopping tonight to catch up with all you lovely peeps!

Starting off with this card for Penny Black's Saturday Challenge - Colour Combo "Blue, White & Gold", I combined the sketch from Get Sketchy.  Again I cheated by using a Penny Black Stickeroo.  Light blue & white card stock from pile and ribbon & sentiment are from stash. 

You can probably tell  I am in a minimalistic phase at the moment, brain is not coping with "Fiddly" at the moment so got to keep it simple ("suits you" I can hear you mutter....lol).

Yes!, I know, cheating again with a Stickeroo!!!  This lovely card brighten up my day when I made it for Sophisticat's "Spring" challenge.  I could just visualise myself skipping through the fresh meadows with the birds singing!!! .....lol.

And finally this above card is for both Creative Card Crew & Simon Says who asked to "Punch It".  So out came the old faithful Sizllit's hearts and Nestibilitie's squares!!!  This type of card is so handy for using up any scraps of card you have laying around.  Used some wee Card Candy's (my fellow blogger friend, Marianne, told me what the technical name was for them - thanks xxx)

Miss Anya Card

Evening all.  It has been fluttering with snow today but not laying.  Makes it feel a bit more Christmasy with snow the ground.  I have used a lovely Miss Anya stamp.  The challenges I have done are:-

3 in 1 challenge card

Back again, would have been here a lot sooner but it seems that the "Borrowers" are away with my memory card out my camera.  I had it one minute and then the next..........it's disappeared.  I have hunted high & low and it has gone ........puff............ I had to go and dig out another camera and take a photo over again.

I had chance to play with one of my new stamps from Whiff of Joy, this character is called Wee and I think he is so delightful.  The backing papers are from Forever Friends and I had used various diecut/punched snowflakes.

The challenges I have incorporated are:-

• Stampin' for the Weekend  -  Lilac & Silver (option of tags)
• Sophisticats  -  Snowflakes & Sparkle

Why do things disappear???  I have to admit it is happening more & more to me - is this a sign of old age?  lol   I have the wrinkles to prove it - don't need a dotty mind as well (some would argue that my dotty brain has been there for a while...........lol)

Anyway, before I forget to actually post this I shall go and pop the washing in the fridge...........lol.

Sophisticats Challenge

I followed the fantastic sketch over at Sophisticats and hope I have just managed to squeeze it in time wise.

The image is from Penny Black and coloured as usual with my watercolour paints (maybe santa might surprise me with some copics...lol) and the backing papers are from Papermania.  Flowers have been created with my X-cut Daisy punches with little gems in the middle.  Also popped a gem of the ladies necklace.  This is an order from one of the girl's at work, hope her Auntie likes it.

I have been home alone today, Barry is away to the ALBA Football Cup Final - Dundee v Calley Thistle - and Dundee have just won so he will be a happy chappie when he eventually rolls home...lol.

Sophisticats, Charisma Cardz & Magnolia Down Under Challenges

Hello again ladies, twice in one day - not bad at all........lol.  This is a Christmas card made using the challenges over at Sophisticat's - "Wings" and Charisma Cardz - "Merry & Bright" and the sketch at Magnolia Down Under.

I love Edwin Snowman and I 3d him on embossed card.  Backing paper is from DCVW, I think, and the embossing folders used are from Cuttlebug and they are Swirls and Snowflakes.  The snowflakes are a mixtures of diecuts, brads and confetti.

Heading back up to my table to play while Barry is lying on the couch as he has a bit of a sniffle (aka man flu) - bless.........lol.

A Few Challenges in 1

Morning peeps, hope you are all well and enjoying your weekends.  Sorry not been on much but hopefully today I can sit and play.  Not planning on leaving the house as it is throwing it down with rain.

I made this card for one of my niece's whos birthday was actually last week (bad auntie I know ......lol....... gonna blame it on the postal strikes!!!!......lol).

The image is a Gorjuss Girl from Sugar Nellie (I called her Little Miss Attitude) and glammed her up a bit with some Stickles.  The striped papers are from DCVW Spring Stack and used one of my Cuttlebug embossing folders for the spots. Flowers are from stash and I got to use my new Martha Stewart Border Punch I got last week.
