White Wedding

Back again, watched the tennis, what a shame for Andy Murray, maybe next time. Surprise I'd better start on the housework now ... or maybe I can find another excuse to delay it further .... lol..

While watching the tennis on the google box I made this card trying to use up some of the scraps of  pearlised card I have in abundance. The cute mouse image is from Penny Black. Tools used are my Swiss Dots and Divine Swirls embossing folders, Sizzix hearts die cuts and a Martha Stewart zig zag border punch. Sentiment, brad and peel off gold borders are from stash. The challenges covered are:-

P.S.   I ear-wormed myself in singing Billy Idol's White Wedding while typing this post ...lol...

Easel Mothers Day Card

Good morning all, up bright and early this morning as watching Andy Murray in the Australian Tennis Open Final on the television. Fingers crossed for him. Also it is a good excuse to be at my table early and snub the housework ...hehe..

I have a busy week ahead as I have started a evening course in web design on Tuesdays and this coming Thursday I start a evening course in sign language - it's like being back at school, only this time I'll pay attention more ...lol..

Our first craft fair for the Brionni Trust is at the end of February so I am trying to make some Easter and Mothers Day cards and gifts to sell then. Here is one of the cards I have done so far. The sentiment was printed off the computer and framed with a Sizzix diecut. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, pearl brads and lace are from stash. The challenges covered are:-

I'm a winner, a CAS Girlie Card

Evening peeps, well, I've had a great start to the week as I was chosen as the winner at High Hopes Tuesday challenge, and an added bonus is that that I have been invited to join them as a guest designer for their challenge on the 5th February. So excited as I have never been a guest designer before. (Stomach has butterflies already).

On Thursday Geoff (our car) passed his MOT, he only needed two new tyres - phew! Tonight we are having visitors round for dinner and finally tomorrow night I am off out to my friends pyjama party, so fun and games all round...lol..

This lovely CAS card was made with one of my favourite gorjuss girls stamps from Funkykits. The backing paper is from a Forever Friends paperback. Tools used were my Swiss Dots embossing folder, oval Nesties. The challenges covered are:-

Kenny K - Mothers Day

Evening peeps, back with the second post of the day. I am so trying to be uber organised this year that I have started already on Easter and Mother's Day for stock. This is one of the cards I have done.

The funky image is a pre coloured one from Kenny K's Downloads and the sentiment is one I have printed off the computer inked edges by chalk inks and cut out using my rectangle Nesties. The backing papers are from a Papermania paperback. The challenges covered or this card are:-

Baby blues

Evening peeps, back for a second post of the day. Starting to get the hang of this now ....lol... I have been making the most of my last day off as I go back to work tomorrow. All the Christmas decorations have been taken down and a quick tidy up has been done.

I have been a tidy crafter in 2013 - see how long that lasts. Yesterday I sorted out all my ribbons instead of them all being tangled together in a poly bag ... Lol. ..... and today I have sorted out all my scrap paper into colours, put my paperbacks away in drawers and my crafters magazines have been moved into the cupboard under the stairs.

This image is from High Hopes coloured with my paints. The background paper is from a Forever Friends paperback.  Tools used are Square Nesties, Swiss Dots & Divine Swirls embossing folders, Sizzix teddy & duck paddle punches decorated with Liquid Pearls.  From my other  stash I used blue wording peel offs and Cardcandi.   The challenges covered with this card are:-

Here we go again .....

Happy New Year everyone, hope 2013 brings you all good health and happiness.

Take two with the iPad, my IT guru friend Lesley (aka Pinkles Dreams) thinks she has mastered the art of posting - if it goes belly up, blame her! ... Lol ... Only kidding.

My New Years resolution is to try and use up some of my craft stash without buying new (I can hear you all laughing and saying "as if that's gonna happen" lol... And I can't see if myself either) and also to try new techniques out as I also seem to keep in my own comfort zone.

So with that in mind, I pulled out a set of 3D stickers I got out of Poundland and my Cardcandi box, stash of free papers out of crafty magazines and I had a wee play at my table. I ended up making two or three of these cards, just with different sentiments. The challenges I shall cover with this card are:-
