Happy New Year

I know I am a couple of days late.... lol.... but that is just me I'm afraid, always chasing my tail... lol..  Hope you lovely peeps saw 2011 in with a bang!!!  and that's it done for another year,  kinda glad to be getting back to some kind of normality (whatever that is .... hehehe).  I don't go back to work until Wednesday so I am treating myself to a day of playing with some new stuff I have.

The image is from Sugar Nellie which I have forgotten I had,  The embossing is one of my new Cuttlebug embossing folders I have (well, you all know by now peeps that I cannot resist a embossing folder or two...lol).  The design papers are from by scraps drawer so not sure where from.  Sticky ribbon is from Papermania which I have had for many a year, as are the bubble embellishments.  The sentiment is also one I have had for ages but I thought it went so well with the image.  The challenges covered are:-

Get Well Soon

Good afternoon to all you lovely followers.  The weekend is here again and a chance to spend some time playing - woop woop!!!  I should really be popping to the shops to get Barry's birthday present (I'll do that tomorrow - have to get  my priorities right.  lol).  Now that the nights are getting longer I should hopefully be spending some of my evenings up at the table being creative  - never seems to work out that way though!!

I got a lovely surprise at my work yesterday, the courier delivered back the laptop all fixed - another woop woop!!! so I can blog again.  Even though we have the PC upstairs, it just didn't feel right - strange I know, but again, I am a bit weird full stop.

The image is one I have but I have no idea from it came I'm afraid.  The DP are from Papermania.  Sentiment printed off on computer.  Flowers and card candies are from stash.  The challenges covered are:-

These Elements Decoupage by Forever Friends are so handy in making cards in a hurry.  The papers are from a DCVW Xmas stack and the sentiment is one printed off on the computer.  The challenges I have entered this card into are:-

New Home Card

Afternoon peeps, well, on with my first card of the day.  One of the girls at work has asked for a new home card for a lady who likes DIY, so after a few play abouts, I came up with this,

The house stamp is from a 99p bargain bucket I think.  I had great fun making it into a picture using acetate and some wood effect card.  The DP paper is from K & Co. and I have used Sizzix dies for the handyman tools.  The challenges I have entered this into are:-
Hopefully will be back later with another (depending on how well the red wine goes down!!....lol).

The Weekend is here...........

Yippee - the weekend is here and I am planning a very serious craft-a-thon starting this evening and finishing on Sunday evening.  The supermarket journey was done on my way home from work so I should not have to venture out again!!!  I feel really guilty I haven't been on lately but fear not, with the football season back on I should be crafting again as normal now at my table.

I have used "Porridge" from the homegrown Sugar Nellie range and the DP paper is from DCVW.  My leaves are made by using my MS punch and the flowers, gems and brads are from stash.  The challenges I am entering this card in are:-
My batteries are charged and patiently waiting (foot tapping) for Baza to finish his dinner so I can get to my table to play!!!!!!!!

These are Forever Friends stickers, quite handy when needing to make a quick card.  The DP are from a Daisy & Dandelion paperpack and I have used the Trophy Sizzix Diecut.  The challenges I have covered on this card are:-

New Baby Card

Afternoon folks, lazy day for me today.  The Race Night went really well and we managed to raise over a whooping £1200 - isn't that fantastic!!!!!  Never got home 'til late last night so had a well deserved long lay.  The only problem now is that I have a dozy head on for the rest of the day ("what's new" I hear you all say.....lol).

So I have done a none-taxing-the-brain card, keeping it simple - which suits me just fine.  Very handy for me as across as Ooh La La their challenge is "Minimalist - white space essential".  I also covered Totally Papercrafts - "Stitching" and over at Creative Inspirations it is "Celebration".

The pram stamp, I think, is from Anita's and the blue gingham paper is from scrap drawer (cheated and used two pieces - the join is hidden under the image - hehe).  Sentiment is a blue peel off  popped on ovals cut out by my Nestie's.  The little ducky is a brad from stash.  Decorated the pram with some Stickles to give it a bit of sparkle.

Anya Birthday Card

Evening Folks, hope all is well.  Just a quick post before I had off to bed with a card I have just finished.  It is for my of my friend's daughter's birthday who is going to be a huge 11 years old!!!!.  I can't believe where the time goes, it doesn't seem that long ago when my friend, Wendy, had her bump. It was a really hot April/May that year and she was struggling with the heat!!!!

I used one of the Miss Anya stamps from The Greeting Farm.  Papers are from Papermania and flowers, ribbon and pearls are from stash.  Printer still broken hence the the peel-off numbers.  The challenges I have combined into this card are:-

Men's Card

Hello - me again!!!!! Just with a wee decoupaged card this for a man.  Thought I would make a couple of male cards as they are always handy and are usually a pain to make.  The challenge across at Cards for Men is "Happy Birthday" and over at Creative Inspirations is "Male Card".

Creative Inspirations & One Stop Craft

Morning peeps, hope everyone is well. Day off today and I am hopefully on standby at the hairdressers - waited too long for an appointment and now they are full so if someone cancels they will give me a tinkle. Fingers-crossed as the grey hairs are coming through thick and fast and I have to look my best for TAKE THAT on Sunday - Woo-Hoo!!! can't wait, so looking forward to it.
Creative Inspirations this week is to create something other than a card, these kind of ideas are out of my comfort zone so I have done a bookmark to start me off.
I popped a stamped image on it and a couple of flowers. To be honest, I'm not sure how else I could have decorated it so please give me your hints & tips for this.
Saturday's challenge over at One stop Craft is "Add some sparkle". So I think I have "bling-ed" this princess up to the max!..........lol

The image was painted with my paints. I had problems trying to fit her in the Nestie hence why she is at a jaunty angle........lol. The backing paper is something that is been at the very bottom of my stash since I started card making.
Hopefully back on again (with a new hairdo.....lol) hugs Kaza.xxx
