Happy PJ Day!!!

Good morning, or is it afternoon - I have had a long lie as I was up late with friends and when I came home I watching the Olympic Opening Ceremony which I had recorded so is was the back of 4 when I drifted off to sleep.  I thought it was quite good personally and I loved the humour it incorporated, Mr Bean cracks me up all the time ...lol...

So since I am still in my pj's I am going to officially make today  National PJ Day!!  So folks you can take it nice and easy today and craft away at your hearts content and you don't have to feel guilty about leaving that washing, ironing, etc... to another day...hehehe ... (well that's my excuse for body-swerving the housework ..lol...)

I really quite like this CAS card, It has been a while since I have played with some of my Sizzix dies so I had to scrape the dust and stoor off them.  I gave the little house some texture my running it through an embossing folder.  I just used up some paper scraps and again used a different embossing folder for the background giving it a good rub with sandpaper to show off the brick effect. Peel offs, brads and hinge are from stash.  The challenges covered are:-

Fab 'n' Funky Challenge  -  No Stamped Image
Daring Cardmakers  -  House that Jack Built
Papertake Weekly  -  Make Your Own  (embellishment from a die)

Fairy Good & Woody's Vet Visit

The fairy image is from Lili of the Valley, coloured with Whisper pens with an added touch of clear Stickles on the wings.  Patterened papers are from scrap drawer, flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Butterfly confetti, peel offs and gems are from stash.  Tools used are Nesties, chalk inks and MS Border Punch.  The challenges covered are:-
Woody had his first visit to the vets yesterday, he was a very good boy getting his jags and Mrs Vet gave him a good check over.  Unfortunately she discovered he has dis-formed elbows, the poor mite.  We knew when we got him there was something up with his front legs, but it doesn't stop him getting about - if anything he is the wildest of the three at that age!!  The vet said that only time will tell how it will affect him, probably in the form of arthritis.  It just means he has to get lots of extra cuddles ...lol...

Footie is back on the Box ....

..... technically yes, as the Olympics kicks off (pardon the pun) with the women's football today.  It is just a few week away for the actual football season starts (silent punch in the air - peace on a Saturday afternoon  again...lol) and the pre-season friendlies have already started .  So to help celebrate the start of the Olympics I have made this football card.

The image is from Lili of the Valley coloured with my paints.  Diecut trophy is from Sizzix and Card Candi  is from stash.  The patterned paper is from scrap drawer.  Tools used are Nesties and embossing folders.  The challenges covered are:-

Seashells, seashells on the sea shore ....

Morning Peeps - the sun is trying to peep out from behind the clouds this morning, but still very breezy here,  a braw washing day - as they say ...lol.  I have officially passed my cold onto to Barry, so the pair of us are sniffling away - should really put a big X on the door - unclean! ...lol.

This seashell stamp is part of a clear set that I have in my stash but have no idea to whom/where it is from.  I inked it using my chalk inks to give it a soft tone feel.  Blue gems are from stash and the strip of patterned paper from scrap drawer.  The challenges covered are:-

P.S. - My top tip is when cutting out my images, especially when there is small tricky bits, is to use nail scissors as they have a curved blade which I find helps.

Meet Woody .......

............ the newest member to our gang.  He is fitting right in - as he's daft as a brush!!!!

The first couple of days were a wee bit tense as Onyx and Jazz didn't really appreciate a new lodger, but Woody & Onyx had breakfast together this morning with just a couple of hisses (and that was because Woody was trying to attack Onyx's tail!!! ...lol)

And Jazz and Woody spent some time on the bed together this evening which I am well chuffed at.  He is so funny and is fearless.

He is the reason I haven't done any crafting this week.  I an hoping for a wee craft-a-thon on Saturday but I'm not getting my hopes up as Woody has already decided that my craft stash is an excellent playground!!

It's A Dogs Life!

Yep! It's raining again, surprise surprise ...lol...  I have a feeling that one or two campers at 'T in the Park' will be collecting their tents from out the trees as it was quite a breezy one last night!!!  I don't envy them one bit, much prefer my cozy bed these days than roughing it under a bit of canvas and the thought of those Port-a-loos makes me shudder!!!

To brighten the mood from the typical Scottish weather I have tried to use bright cards on this card,  The image was a freebie from a craft magazine coloured with my paints.  The backing papers are from DCVW.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The cirular sentiment is from LOTV.  Sticky rik-rak ribbon from stash.  The challenges covered this morning are:-

Birthday Blooms

Good morning - July! and the sun is shining (in between a few clouds ... lol).  Hope this is the start of summer now, we can only hope I suppose.  The schools here in Scotland have now finished up for their summer holidays,  and the local music festival, T in the Park is next week so it usually has 'rain' written all over it! ...lol..

Well, I had a lovely evening last night, catching up with the family while celebrating my niece, Denise & Ross's Wedding. The bride was beautiful and a good night was had my all.  Earlier in the day I had seen Louise, the other bride, going into the church and she was stunning as well.  May both couples have many happy years together... xx.
