Sorry Folks - It's a long one......

Well I can't believe that's Sunday evening already and my week off is just about finished - Boo Hiss. Feel like I am going back to school - checked that uniform is ready & ironed, shoes polished, bag packed, lunchbox ready, have bath, wash behind ears....etc.... Checked this morning and No - not won lottery, so will have to set alarm clock...lol. I started off my hols with big intentions to do this & that but I got side-tracked along the way ( some stupid, simple but really REALLY addictive computer game that has you saying 'just one more shot'... and no, it wasn't solitaire or freecell but something similar lol).
Anyway, back to crafting, and I did manage a couple more cards to finish the week off so here does:-

I followed the sketch from Truly Scrumptious for this card, I used papers from the Spring stash of DCWV and a lovely little image given to me. Also the challenge was to use some homemade buttons, I kinda cheated on this one by using a couple of diecut buttons & dressing them up with funky thread. ***
The challenge over at Charisma Cardz is to do a 'Pretty Card for Mum', this was handy as a girl at work had asked me to make for her a Mother's Day Card but not to have mother on it.
The label on the card reads Best Wishes (sorry photo not very good) and I used my new nestibilities that I had got on Thursday at the craft fair in Glasgow, boy, good job I had my flexible friend with me..lol...
***
I absolutely loved doing this one for the Daring Cardmakers - 'It's a Patchy One' to be patchwork inspired. My own mother is a quilter so I knew instantly who this was for. When you visit my mother, her sewing machine is always out and bits of material are scattered everywhere. All bedrooms have at least one quilt on the bed, there are wall-hangings and recently mother has moved onto roll-up jewellery cases, make-up bags and the good old quilted coat hangers, just to name a few. It must be a gene in the family as her mother (my gran) knitted and sewed and you were given everything from jumpers to pin cushions, summer dresses to the lady toilet roll hiders.....bless her soul. xxx
You will have to forgive me on the faux stitching, as my hand was in agony doing the paper piercing and a bottle of red wine did not help the hand to eye co-ordination either...lol. The image is from the Sweet Ebony range at Sugar Nellie and I made my jazzy funky buttons again.
***
And finally, I can hear you all scream - YES!, is my last one for this evening. It is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is a recipe, ' 3 Brads, 2 Ribbons & 1 flower'.
The image is PB but I added my different stamped wording. My blue Stickles in my flower smudged a bit & I made it worst by fixing it with my finger...lol.
Now I am going to catch up with what you all lovely peeps have been up to and then early to bed for me. Night night. xxx
Cuddles,
Kaza.xxx
