Couple more baby baby cards.........

Gosh......this is the most industrious I have been in weeks. I secretly must have had my porridge this morning...lol. Another couple of cards. The first one I have done is using another fabulous sketch, this time on Charisma Cardz....

I have used a Messy Rabbit image from Joanna Sheen and die cut out some rubber duckies in funky foam. Added some sticky ribbon & sentiment from stash.
The next one is for a recipe challenge over at Cute Card Thursday. The recipe is:- something ripped, 2 papers & 4 embellishments.
My nestibilities came in handy for this one, as I mounted a sticker from DCWV onto the card, used blue spotted paper & velum (which I ripped & then chalked) and used 2 brad buttons & 2 normal buttons.
Well, I'm away to peel the tatties for tea & hopefully back later...........

Good Morning! - Truly Scrumptious Sketch

A very good morning to everyone. It has felt such a long week already and it is only Tuesday. Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend, I was doing my visiting duties. It is my day off today so the house jobs are now done (I limit myself to 3 on my day off as it would be never ending) and now I can PLAY!!!!
I had used the great sketch by Beth on Truly Scrumptious to create this card for a former work colleague who has just pushed out a healthy 9lb 14oz boy - Ouch! - on Saturday night. I warn you - this will be one of many boy cards you will be seeing from me as I will have to do more for my other workmates to hand over!

I used the baby FF stamp, papers, ribbon & sentiment are from stash. Nearly had disaster as forgot to pop liquid pearls in corners at first so had to re-take photo. lol.....
Heading back to my table now to make another creation...........see ya soon....

Need a Mojo Boost

Sorry I have not been on for a while. One week back to work and I feel I need another holiday so my card contribution is getting less and less. I was working late this week and therefore coming in, having tea and then literally crashing out, then yesterday was my day off and I had to go in for the morning - boo, hiss - as usually my day off is my crafting day. Been especially pee'd off as there has been some fantastic challenges out there and I have not had chance to play. Sob sob......lol....... Sorry, moan over.......
Have managed one card, Sugar Bowl Challenge, Mother's Day as I had one more to make and I knew time was not going on my side...
I did some doodling and used one of my charms that I got from the craft fair at the beginning of the month. They were on my list as "TOP PRIORITY" because I needed them really, really badly - as was everything else I have to add...lol.

Forever Friends

Evening folks, there is no stopping me now!!! My second card of the day. I like the sketch from Forever Friends as it is nice and simple (like me! lol) and I am not good with complicated.
The sentiment "On Your Special Day" has not come out very well in the photo & with hindsight I should have put on white card instead of black.
Thanks for looking & hopefully will be back with one final card of the evening - better get cracking!!!

Afternoon Peeps - Magnolia v Stampavie Sketch

Afternoon all, its been a long week back at work and today on my day off I have been catching up on the household chores. I have only managed to make this one card today (so far), thought I would have a go at the sketch on the Magnolia vs Stampavie Challenge. I'm afraid I don't know this Tilda's name and I used liquid pearls on your wellies and corners of the card. Thanks for looking. Cuddles Kaza. xxx

Sorry Folks - It's a long one......

Well I can't believe that's Sunday evening already and my week off is just about finished - Boo Hiss. Feel like I am going back to school - checked that uniform is ready & ironed, shoes polished, bag packed, lunchbox ready, have bath, wash behind ears....etc.... Checked this morning and No - not won lottery, so will have to set alarm clock...lol. I started off my hols with big intentions to do this & that but I got side-tracked along the way ( some stupid, simple but really REALLY addictive computer game that has you saying 'just one more shot'... and no, it wasn't solitaire or freecell but something similar lol).
Anyway, back to crafting, and I did manage a couple more cards to finish the week off so here does:-

I followed the sketch from Truly Scrumptious for this card, I used papers from the Spring stash of DCWV and a lovely little image given to me. Also the challenge was to use some homemade buttons, I kinda cheated on this one by using a couple of diecut buttons & dressing them up with funky thread. ***
The challenge over at Charisma Cardz is to do a 'Pretty Card for Mum', this was handy as a girl at work had asked me to make for her a Mother's Day Card but not to have mother on it.
The label on the card reads Best Wishes (sorry photo not very good) and I used my new nestibilities that I had got on Thursday at the craft fair in Glasgow, boy, good job I had my flexible friend with me..lol...
***
I absolutely loved doing this one for the Daring Cardmakers - 'It's a Patchy One' to be patchwork inspired. My own mother is a quilter so I knew instantly who this was for. When you visit my mother, her sewing machine is always out and bits of material are scattered everywhere. All bedrooms have at least one quilt on the bed, there are wall-hangings and recently mother has moved onto roll-up jewellery cases, make-up bags and the good old quilted coat hangers, just to name a few. It must be a gene in the family as her mother (my gran) knitted and sewed and you were given everything from jumpers to pin cushions, summer dresses to the lady toilet roll hiders.....bless her soul. xxx
You will have to forgive me on the faux stitching, as my hand was in agony doing the paper piercing and a bottle of red wine did not help the hand to eye co-ordination either...lol. The image is from the Sweet Ebony range at Sugar Nellie and I made my jazzy funky buttons again.
***
And finally, I can hear you all scream - YES!, is my last one for this evening. It is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is a recipe, ' 3 Brads, 2 Ribbons & 1 flower'.
The image is PB but I added my different stamped wording. My blue Stickles in my flower smudged a bit & I made it worst by fixing it with my finger...lol.
Now I am going to catch up with what you all lovely peeps have been up to and then early to bed for me. Night night. xxx

A Sunny Morning to You!!

Have woken up a bright sunny morning but very chilly indeed. The view from my back window is glorious with the hills covered in snow. Nature is a wonderful thing. Sometimes the neighbours must think I'm a Peeping Tom - as I can stand & stare at the hills for ages, mesmerised by them.............
Anyway, I've popped 2 cards on that I had made last night for the Kaboodle and Spoon full of Sugar challenges. The 1st one is for Kaboodle, the theme was 'Vintage'.
I really quite enjoyed doing this one as it took me out of my comfort zone. I did alot of inking round the edges to try and give an old distressed look, and stamping over my picture was very daunting indeed 'coz that's when I usually muck-up..lol.
The theme for Spoon full of Sugar is 'Torn' and I kept singing that song all the time I was making it. Can't guarantee it was the right words I was singing...lol but the tune anyway.

Sugar Nellie's 'Dressing-up Maggie' is one of my favourite stamps and I had a shot of Lesley's promakers to colour her in. Her necklace I went over with silver stickles. The backing paper and flowers are from stash.

Magnolia Vs Stampavie Challenge - Lace & Pearls

Afternoon all, been having a bit of a faffing about day today. I'm sure you all know what I mean where you are busy but nothing seems to get done! It is one of these days that you wish Mary Poppins would chap on your door & clip her fingers or stamp her feet - or whatever she does - and hey presto! - done.
I have done this little lady for the Magnolia Vs Stampavie Challenge. It is to incorporate lace & pearls.
I used The English Paper Co. backing papers, Pearl brads, liquid pearls and paper lace which my mum gave me a 50yard roll off (should keep me going...lol).
I'm off to play again a watch a film before Baza gets in from work, either Star Wars or James Bond - sad I know...lol - but grrrrrrrreeaaaat!!!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Something to Eat

Afternoon peeps, hope it is brighter were you are, we have got a right damp, dreekit day - not at all what I was wanting for my hols (Bikini back in drawer for another day...lol). I have only managed one card - so far - today. Had spent this morning having a lovely coffee with Lesley & friends and then a trip to my local Paper Mill for a purchase or two..hehe.. Those lovely new backing papers from Daisy & Dandelion just seemed to slip into my basket...lol... honest yer honour!

This is my take on the challenge as this is what Rodger the Spodger here would love to get his teeth into..lol. Never had any PB stamps to cover this so used a Stickeroo. Papers you've guessed it are from DCWV and flowers are from stash.

Wow! - I've won an award.

I can't believe it. My kind friend Clare (Clare's Crafts) has nominated me. What a lovely surprise to wake upto this morning. The rules are for me to pass it on to 10 others. I know that some of you have received the award already but it just goes to show what great work you do!!!!!

I'm on Holiday - 3 Cards

Yhay!!!!! I'm on holiday for a week. Not going away but have planned a few days here & there and also scheduled in some serious craft time....lol. Hope everyone has had a lovely Sunday and are stuffed after their dinner. I am still in my PJ's (Sunday is the day of rest...lol) and still to have my tea. It will be something from the freezer that goes Ping! after 5mins...lol. I had hoped for a day to myself and tried to pam Barry off to the golf this morning but his shoulder is still sore... huff... is there no consideration to others...lol. I mean, he has only been out of action for the last 6 months. lol. Oh well, so I sat at my table today while the football (& now the golf) was on the telly and made these 3 cards.
The first one is for the Stamp Something Saturday Challenge - something with cold winter wind, well after debating whether or not to post a photo of old Baza there after one of my homemade curries I decided upon little Tilda fighting against the winter chill on Hogmany going first footing - cheers to you Tilda!.
I read on someone's blog (forgive me as I can't remember who's) that they had set themselves a target to make at least one Crimbo card a week and I think that it is a jolly good idea so I am gonna follow suit - so thank you however you were. xxx It will certainly save a little of the mad frenzy in October/November...lol.
Card No.2 is for my lovable, adorable nephew CJ (got to say that...lol) who is the coolest kid on the block (been paid to say that...lol). His birthday is not until the end of the month but the challenge over at Colour Create - Blue & Brown was such a great combo I just couldn't refuse.
I used an Edwin stamp (sorry don't know name) and DCWV papers & saying. My oval nestibilities came in very handy again. I honestly don't know what I used to do before them.
My 3rd, and final card for this evening I have made for one of my friend's little girl, Eden, who will be 1 in April and I have used the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Transport for this one.
I really liked the image after it was coloured in, the girl with her bogie. My brothers made one one time, used bits of their bikes, didn't go down well with my dad...lol. Theirs wasn't a patch on this girl's or even Oor Willie's come to think of it!. lol.... those were the days....lol
Well that is it for me this evning, I am going to retire now with the rest of the bottle of wine I have started and do some blog-hopping.........xxxx
