Charisma Cardz - Animals

This is the second of the two challenges I have attempted which the theme was animals. I used a lovely cute little image that was given to me in a swap. I used my nestibilities in great abundance on this card and the paper was from my Spring Stack from DCWV.

It's Christmas!!!! - over at the Sugar Bowl

As I said earlier, I can't wait until Thursday for the craft fair in Glasgow 'coz on my list is a couple more stamps from Sugar Nellie (plus probably a couple more extra ones will fall into my basket..lol).
My Christmas papers were close at hand so I had a little attempt at this one. She is such a cutie and looks dead cozy. Just think, in 10 months time that's it all done for another year...lol.

Cute Card Thursday - Animal Magic

When I first saw the theme, "Animal Magic" my thoughts went straight to the kids TV programme with the late Johnny Morris going all those funny voices, then the brain moved onto to Paul Daniels. I must have a strange taste in men as there is a wider choice of magicians out there...lol. But alas, I couldn't russell up a talking card and I don't have any images of rabbits being pulled out of hats so this is the closest I could get - Rabbits in flowerpots!!! Whenever I see this image it always reminds me of a child. I always wanted a rabbit but never got one. (sob sob). It was a good job really 'coz my 2 brothers kept ferrets and they kept escaping. lol.

One more day to work & Ooh La La Challenge

I hope everyone is well in Blogland this afternoon. It is my day off today, and I have only got tomorrow to do and then I am off for a week - Yippee!!!! looking forward to it, especially Thursday when I am going to the SECC for the craft fair. I have my list written already (the essentials) and that is for the purchases I do before lunch -then Harry Ramsden's for a look at everyone else's goodies - and then I walk around again BUT this time it is with the credit card and the blow-out purchases begin! hehe (I must admit I do much prefer the afternoon session. lol).
I have been playing the last of of days but I am terrible for not blogging after I finish. This one is for the Ooh La La Challenge - Stripes. I love this little duck but I'm afraid I don't know his name as I received it in an image swap.
The papers as from DCWV and flower, gems and sentiment as from stash.

I'm Quackin' Up! - 3 Cards Made

Howdy folks! Hope everyone is well. Woke up this morning to the sun splitting the sky. It has been a gorgeous day here, nice & bright and a bit windy (we'll put that down to Lesley (aka Pinkles Dreams) who is still here at my bit - pmsl...). I got some good news yesterday about the leak in the roof, it just needs a small repair in the felt and some tiles relined and that's it done.
We have been having a craftathon but somehow I am losing. lol. I have managed three cards, two of which I have used my Penny Black duck stamps which I have had for ages & ages and been dieing to use.

These 2 little ducks I have entered into Charisma Cardz No.7 Challenge which is hugs 'n' Cuddles, ah bless. The backing papers are from DCVW Spring Stash which I had forgot I had and went foraging in the cupboard for. lol.
I used my other ducky stamp for the Cute Card Thursday challenge which the theme was 'Spring' and the Saturday Penny Black challenge which was 'Get Well Soon'.
I used DCVW backing paper from the Spring Collection and the butterflies are from my stash. While making this card my vocal chords got an airing (much to Lesley's and Barry's annoyance) as 'love is in the air' was replaced by the wording on the card. Woo-oo-oo-oo. lol.
Finally this Mother's day card is entered into the Daring Cardmakers challenge - to have a fish or a frog. Well, since I'm a little frog daft I can't miss this one but looking though all my gear I was surprised to find very little froggies there (note for craft fair next week..froggie purchases...lol).
YES - I do have other backing papers other than DCVW, but, NO, on this occasion I chose not to use them...lol (another note... must try other papers..lol). Princess Tilda is holding Prince Charming in her hands just about to place a big smacker of a kiss on him. Flowers & ribbon from stash.
Oh well, better that making the tea, not one of strong points. lol.

Pink Elephant #2 - Glitter

Well, who doesn't like a bit of bling now and again but unfortunately I was needing to make a man's card so I cheated a little bit on this one and put some gemstones on the corners - I hope it counts. lol.
The doggy stamp is from Penny Black (sorry don't know his name) and paper is from my spare scrap drawer.

Sugar Bowl Challenge 4 - One

Evening all peeps and I do indeed hope everyone is well and looking forward to their weekend, mine, unfortunately does not start until tomorrow evening 'coz I am working - Boo Hiss!. Never mind, I have a wee cheeky bottle of red waiting for me patiently. I have been a bad girly this week on my diet - I ate a full tube of pringles and malteasers (sorry I could not resist when I spied them in the cupboard and I hate waste as they were close to their useby date lol). I felt guilty this morning though, and hid the evidence in the wheelie bin. So it has back to my Weightwatcher's Ocean pie instead of a fish supper which I really REALLY wanted. lol. This is me just doing the Sugar Bowl Challenge which has been out on the loose for a while. I thought I would give Pringle an airing as I have had him for a while. The challenge is to use ONE piece of patterned paper so I used a sheet from DCVW from the cat scrapbooking stack and decorated with flowers and a brad from stash.
He is very demure - nothing like my two bam-pot cats (one lounges about all day and the other one treats this house like a hotel! lol)see below:- This is Onyx, aka 'Fatty Boom Boom', she is the laziest cat you will meet. This is her usual pose!. This is Jazz, aka 'Jazbo with the Asbo' He likes to cause mayhem out the house and only comes in to sleep. He loves to pinch the little parcels off the tree. lol

Oh Pants! - I Give Up

I have spent the last 3 hours farting about on this computer trying to jazz up my Blog. All I have managed to acheive is to change the font colour to orange! lol. I wanted to have one of these fancy background thingy's that run down the side of the blog and I went into help pages - boy - I didn't understand a word of it! I asked Barry, but he was as useful as a chocolate fireguard. I thought I would start with something easy and work towards adding music to it. This blog thing is actually similar to owning a car. I can switch it on, put stuff in it but if something goes wrong or need to upgrade - I'm snookered! Well - that's my rant over and I'm away now in a nellie-puff until tomorrow. Good night all. xxx

Wedding Sample

DON'T rush out and buy your hats girls! It is not for me..lol.. The charity The Brionni Trust has been asked to do another girl's wedding and we are to just to give the bride some samples so this is my attempt. Please give me your honest comments & any suggestions as well please. xx
On the same theme, Sharon, at my work has asked me to do a wedding card for friends of hers that are getting hitched this weekend, so I give copied the above idea. I cheated I know but I think it is a pretty wee card. lol.
I had used a lovely little stamp I had got at the craft fair in Glasgow a while ago and this is me givegetting round to use it!. lol.

Cute Card Thursday - Music & Dance

Evening everyone, hope everyone has had a good weekend. I certainly have. I went to see 'Strictly Come Dancing - Live' in Glasgow last night and OMG it was fab-u-lous darling! All 4 judges were there along with the dancers & the celebs. For all of those who watch it, Rachel & Vincent were amazing! but so were the rest of them really. Kenny & Ola won - but I think they had won every night in Glasgow (it was the kilt & nae knickers that did it! lol) and Julian Clary was a scream. If I had to give the prize for the best shimmier though, it would have to be to (gimmesome) Gethin. mmmmm!
Keeping with the theme, I have entered the above challenge on the Cute Card Thursday Blog. It had to be with a music or dance theme this week. Think instruments, song titles, dancing, musical notes etc.
I used an old CD for the background and coloured two Magnolia stamps (Edwin & Tilda) and diecut the musical notes.

The Pink Elephant Challenge

Just realised what the date is! Not that I am superstitious or anything but usually things do happen to me! So today I will try to stay away from anything electrical (YES - no hoovering! lol), won't drive anywhere (another yes - going to a party tonight so I can have a glass of winey-poos. lol) and generally keep my hands to myself lol.
The Pink Elephant is a new challenge blog for Mondays so I thought I would have a little go at this one. This week the challenge is create in 'Pink, Black & White'. I wanted to keep the card quite simple so I just used one backing paper.

Ooh-la-la Creations Challenge - Black & Gold

Morning to everyone out there! So far I am enjoying my day off work. I am still in my PJ's and crafting away while catching up on some of my programmes on the Sky Plus (must say it it a great invention). I thought I would brake myself in gently with this one today as I knew what I would end up doing. lol
I used gold mirror card and black card with gold speckles in it (must have used two different types as one is darker in the photo - oh well. lol).
Hopefully I'll be back for some more later. xx

Friday Sketchers Week 38

I know, I know, I'm always at the coo's tail but I think I've just managed to squeeze this one in my the skin of my teeth. The ironic thing is, I made this on Sunday when I had a craftingfest with Lesley (Pinkles Dreams) and this is me now typing like mad to get it in as I got distracted through the week (another story - discovered roof leak in loft!).
I have used a Sugar Nellie stamp (tea party I think), papermania backing papers and to highlight the cherry on the cakes I used stickles.

Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Evening all, hope everyone is keep well and cozy. We had a little splattering of snow this morning which lasted a couple of hours and then disappeared. We have been really lucky where I stay, good job really as my Moon-Boots have gone missing!! I think Barry might have had something to do with it (revenge for throwing out his favourite pair of stripey underpants - which I might add were held together by the non-elastic elastic!). He has never let it lay since. I stumbled upon this lovely little site (Daring Cardmakers) & challenge when I was blog-hopping and I thought I would give it a go. I had this image in my stash and I thought it would do just the job.

The challenge is to create an Oriental card without the traditional Red & Black. Looking at the picture now I think I was on the red wine when I was doing this one 'coz the image is squint and the coin is stuck. lol. Oh well, practise makes perfect they say. lol.

Spoon full of Sugar Challenge #37 - Sketch

I thought I would give this sketch a go for one of my nephew's birthday (Kieron). He is a sporty lad and I think (or hope) he goes Tai Wan Do. You can never keep up with them and their hobbies. lol. I'll have to remember to post it this year!
This is the Sugar Nellie 'Karate Kid' stamp coloured using whisper pens.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #17 - At the Zoo

AT THE ZOO - As always any creation as long as there is a zoo/animal element on it.
Evening peeps, hope you are all well. I am one of the few that has no snow - little drop yesterday but has all disappeared now. Still cold though and I have two layers of clothes on to try & keep me warm. I was day off today so I have attempted a couple of challenges.
This one was handy for me as I was to make a child's card for Matthew (pal's wee one). I used an image that was given to me so afraid I don't know what its called (I'll nick-name him Tango as I've made him a bit too orange lol).
I stamped some leaves and 3d them on but you can't see that very well on the photo. Backing paper is by DCVW.
