Love is in the Air

Good evening my lovelies, hope you all had a lovely weekend.  I don't know if it is just me, but Blogger has been playing up.  Over the weekend I was trying to leave comments on everyone's wonderful creations but I kept getting throw back messages saying My comment was blocked.  It is getting really annoying and for some reason Blogger don't seem to be an app anyone on the Apple Store.   Can anyone recommend another app to use on my iPad.

We are starting to come into the season of Love and Romance, I have been making some Wedding and Anniversary cards.  This one is made using a Penny Black stamp, backing paper I think, is from a Lili of the Valley card kit.  The heart dies it are cut from a Hobbycraft die.  Pearls, peel offs and sentiment are from stash.  The challenges covered are:-

New Baby

Evening everyone, can't believe is Friday tomorrow - what a quick week it has been.  Hope you all have something enjoyable planned over the weekend.  Me?  I am going the boring houseworky jobs, and then hopefully playing at my table - Rock & Roll ...lol

I have used this stamp many times, and still love it,  coloured with watercolour paints. The checked pattern paper is a scrap piece out of drawer.  Tools used are Nesties and dotty embossing folder.  The challenges covered are:-

Butterflies

Evening folks, hope you all had a lovely weekend.   I have a wonderful weekend but back to the grindstone today, stuck in traffic.... Fellow drivers must think I'm nuts as I sit in the traffic queues sitting along to the radio in my own wee bubble.....lol

Made this card, but in hindsight, wish I had used pearlised card as I think it would had made it so much better.  The lovely worded stamped sentiment is from Little Claire Designs.  The Diecut butterfly is from Marianne Designs.  Other tools used is Nesties and embossing folders. Various sized clear gems for decorations.  The challenges covered are:-

Monster Time

Good Sunday morning peeps, hope everyone is having a good weekend.  I had a wonderful night last night at my nieces pantomine, Jack & the Beanstalk.  It was fabulous, all the kids should be proud of themselves.

I used this stamp but can't remember where is is from, sorry.   I am not sure if it is a dragon or a crocodile, be for this card I shall do for a dragon...lol.  It is coloured with watercolour paints and decorated with Stickles.  There is only one balloon in the image but I have added Diecut balloon's to make a bunch and added some peel off numbers.  Tools used were embossing folders and Nestie dies.  The challenges covered this morning are:-

Let it Snow

Evening folks - it's Friday!   Whoop-whoop.  Looking forward to the weekend as I am going to see my niece perform in her Pantomine (see previous post) tomorrow night.  Hoping to play this weekend at my table as I need to make a few cards.

Made this card using Edwin Snowman from Magnolia, one of my old favourite stamps.  The snowflake backing paper is from scrap drawer.  Snowflake diecut is from Marianne Creatables.  Tools used is my snowflake embossing folder.  The challenges covered this evening are:-

Panto Time....... Oh yes it is!...

Evening peeps, hope everyone is surviving the weather.  We have had a covering of snow but nothing to get panicked about.

It was one of my nieces 12th birthday on Tuesday and she is currently performing in the pantomine at the Alloa Town Hall.  Yes, you've guessed it - Jack and the Beanstalk.

I had great fun making this card and I used so many different bits and bobs from my stash that if you want to know anything about any part of it, just ask.

Because it is a mis-mash of elements I am entering it into anything goes challenges and they are:-

Coffee Time

Evening peeps,  quick post tonight as will have to try and get myself organised for going back to work tomorrow.  How quick does 10 days go by .......   Oh well, it's only 4 months until Easter for my next long weekend...lol.... not that I am counting.

I have used the cute City Girl stamp from Whiff of Joy as it fitted nicely to the challenge across at Stamping Sensations.   Used papers out my scrap drawer (which is never going down!) and embossed sentiment from stash.  The challenges covered are:-

New Beginnings

Afternoon folks, enjoying a lazy day.   Have taken down the Christmas decorations this morning, the house looks so bare now. Might as well get the holiday blues over and done with today instead of tomorrow as back to work on Wednesday.

This is a card I had made a while ago when a former work colleague had twin girls.  Double easel cards are perfect for this occasion I think.  The stamp is from Forever Friends, dotty paper as from scrap drawer.  Something new is the large pearls and flowers.  Sentiment and ribbon are from stash.  Tools used are various Spellbinder dies and dotty embossing folder.  The challenges covered today are:-

Happy New Year

Well, I failed miserably on Last Years Resolutions, so I am not making any for 2017.  I should know by now, that best made plans often go out the window and the 2016 ones certainly did.

One of the big changes I had in my life last year, was a change of Job.  Still with the same emergency service but a more challenging role, new location and hopefully the prospect of qualifications at the end.  On the down side is that I have less time to craft due to the longer travel time and my brian being pickled with all the new information it is taking on board.  When I have been making cards, that have usually been quick cards and were not good enough to blog.

Over the festive season, I have had chance to relax and play at my table which I have really enjoyed and missed.  Hopefully, going forward, I can find a balance between work, study and play.

Anyway, enough prattling on, this is a card I have made following a few challenges.  The hedgehogs are Penny Black clear stamps with I coloured and added some Stickles to their scarves.  The backing paper is scrap from an old Papermania paperback, sentiment is a Hunkydory one and snowflake is a Sizzix diecut.  Tools used was my snowflake embossing folder.
